    This.

I've been screaming for a new LB , even when he was playing out of his skin (relatively speaking) as he was a weak link in Europe and being targeted. He's being targeted by SPL jobbers now too.
Not one person on these boards is suggesting he was, or is good enough to be a first choice LB.

    But...

He's being asked to play a role he simply cannot do. That's not his fault. That's the managers.
We're not calling Kyogo all these names for not scoring.

    Ppl need to cool it.

He will be replaced, by what, * knows. But the abuse is out of order imo.

It’s the boards fault for not finding a left back that fits into how Rodgers wants to play. We all knew in the summer we needed one.

Of course the board are not blameless.

But a good manager gets the best out of what he has. He doesn't hammer square pegs into round holes.

Taylor has never been good enough, and the board and scouting dept. are a disgrace for neglecting both that position, and the Def Mid, which has seen us horsed in Europe.
But Rodgers isn't a young manager anymore. He should have enough experience to know that Taylor can't do what he's asking, and plan his tactics according to the strengths and abilities of the players he has, until he gets the players he wants.

The way Ange played him demonstrated to me that he is 100% a converted centre mid. Same build and style as calmac and for me calmac is as good a lb as Taylor minus experience. I don't know that he could do it for us but I would be giving him a shot at centre mid.

I would agree with the last part, he is looks desperate to succeed and willing to try anything asked if him so the blame shouldn't be solely on him.

We have made a right pigs ear out of this position, spunked half the KT coin on Boli, Benny and Tayloe-and all 3 *.
And I reckon we wont bring in a new LB until we offload Benny.

Thought he was our best player today. Not quite sure what position he was playing but it seemed to work.

Good to see Palma actually passing to him, that helps.

I think he's been far better than Johnston recently tbh.

I still don't think he fits this system, but he was good today.

Overlapped far more and although he played inside at times he was a lot higher up, almost like 1 of the number 8s rather than sitting as a 2nd number 6 inside the centre circle.

1st goal comes from him overlapping, doesn't get the ball but it pulls a defender away and allows Palma space to get ball into box.

Hopefully that's the end of Rodgers trying to play a style unfamiliar to him.

Better today. He's had a poor season in general though

Think I’d rather see what he could do in midfield and get a big powerful left back in or give Frame a shot.

He's in the same position as a few others. They are not bad players but not good enough to be starters every week.

I don't rate him and want to see him replaced as first choice but he was really good today.

    Was definitely better today..

Was noticeably higher up the park and overlapping as much as possible, particularly first half with some lovely balls being threaded through to him..

Think it was his cross Kyogo should've scored from..

Thought it was very noticeable when he turned it on in the second half, he was trusted more both as an inverted full bsck rather than a LB and had more trust to roam and choose how he supported and moved.

BR consistently showing he knows how to get the best out of him, but not allowing it until it could get a bit dicey for him if he doesn’t get the best out of those on the pitchX
