I don’t think we would. Boniface had scored 20 goals in 60 odd games for Bodo before he was 20 years old.

Union took a chance on him and he scored/assisted plenty for them in the season he was there. 55 games, 22 goals and 11 assists in one season for them at 21 years old? That’s ridiculous.

If we had to go and sign Gronbaek from Bodo now or Brievik from Molde, we would all be buzzing and rightfully so. They look class. That’s exactly the sort of player we should be targeting as well. Players absolutely excelling in Scandinavia.

 

Hart is breaking my heart these days. Definitely need an upgrade on him, Taylor and a big tall athletic box to box CM . A half decent CF would also be welcome

 

Out of everywhere, he’s the position I would prioritise the least if we can’t make all the signings we need in January.

We need an overlapping full back, we need a box to box midfielder and we need a striker.

 

See even it was up at the £8m or so price tag but we think he is the type of player we need why not?

He is a bit older than Edouard but we could easily bring him in for a couple of seasons and sell him for double that.

Is it a risk? Yes but what’s worse, look what we did in centre midfield this season we spent £4.5m across Iwata, Kwon and Holm, also bringing in Bernardo on a loan to buy for around £5m.

Say rather than do that we spent £7-8m on one midfielder with the view he would start or have gone all in on a bosman player like we did with Dembele before giving him a big signing on fee and a high wage for us.

That’s how scary our recruitment was in the summer. It addressed none of the issues.

Unfortunately, Rodgers might think a lot of players are "fine" as he persists in playing them even though we have suitable alternatives for some of them.

 

What’s the script with the Fabio Silva rumours he’s contracted until 2026 with the option for a further year according tae transfer market. Seems like pie in the Sky stuff as I noticed the orcs being linked also so is it the usual drivel. Think he will more than likely go out on loan as it seems tae be the case since Wolves signed Him back in 20/21.
