Also seen we were supposedly monitoring the killie keeper.

 

I am not convinced the front line wins the league and I think we will struggle against low blocks.

None of Maeda, Abada or Kyogo are creative or can hold the ball up to let players get beyond them. There is one of two ways I would try and change that, one would be buy a creative right winger and either play Palma and Abada left and right or Maeda and new winger.

Alternatively buy a centre forward that is comfortable dropping in and linking play with essentially Maeda and Abada being inside forwards, you could also play Kyogo as one of these inside forwards. Palma would also be an option.

The boy from Panathinaikos looks like that sort of striker that could play that role, even if he could be doing with being more clinical himself. Rafiu Durosinmi is another that looks like he could play that way but may be out of our price range now. Faris Moumbagna would be another of that type.

Ideally we could add both types of player and really gut out the likes of Johnston, Yang, Tilio, Forrest from playing.

 

Kevin Denkey from Cercle Brugges would be the perfect player to play that striker role, too. Great scoring record too. Would cost a fair whack though. Around £6m.

 

Thats a good shout actually! But think Cercle would want more than that to sell their best player in the winterstop. They sold Ueda to Feyenoord for 9mil last summer, got 4mil for Deman. They are not selling cheap anymore. But would be a great player.

 

I always go by transfer market mate and I know that they can be far more expensive or far cheaper. I usually just go with the number they value him at. Watched him a few weeks ago and he was a beast.

 

McKenna is as slow as a week in the jail, he is not a ball playing defender and it will be like signing a Scottish Nat Phillips.

 

He is a one man show at Cercle. One could hope!

 

If it was 2 minimum, I'd hope it's a LB and a GK, but would be disappointed if we didn't bring in a ST as well.

No idea who the 4th player could be, we need a RW and a CM/CDM but I was expecting them in the summer when we move a few players on.

 

Minimum of 4 surely.

2 just won't cut it.
We needed 4-5 first team ready improvements in summer to take us forward.
We can argue perhaps Palma has met the criteria (albeit not improving on Jota, but still first team ready), but the rest are no where near it.

Left back, goal keeper, an actual defensive midfielder able to play, a striker.

Then we need to sort out the CB carry on (philispz Welsh, Nawrocki, lagerbielke, figure it * out already and get rid of whatever isn't needed and replaced with quality) and same goes for the wingers. Mikey, James, Yang, Tilio, what's the point in most of our wingers these days.


Minimum 4, ideally arguably 7 in the door and about the same out of it as well.

No. They deserve fragmentation...* grenades. For years of hoarding money so that the worshipped dividend and bank balance would grow. Players and managers should receive a reaction based on their effort and result, but the board need booed constantly.

 

After SD23 last season I don’t believe any rumour now.

Rodgers has already spoken of wanting a midfielder

 

He would be the most Rodgers / Celtic signing ever IMO. Rodgers automatically thinks someone is a player because they've played EPL.
