@Celtic_Daft1888 if you think having a go at a substandard team, with a manager who looks scunnered and a board who had 4 police/stewards around 1 guy and had him ejected for free speech then you are seriously ignoring the situation.

To drop 8 points out the last 15 available is shambolic!

 

I think anyone who actively wants us to lose more points and to lose against our biggest rivals in 2 weeks time isn't "having a go"

 

Anyone who hopes we lose to Rangers is suspect at best.

 

I honestly think Rodgers and Mark Lawwell would struggle to spot quality players.

 

100%. This is a massive window. Quite literally our season depends on it. There certainly can and should be plenty going out the door the other way as thanks to the summer we again have a massively bloated squad full of players who have no business being at the club. But obviously getting the right players in is a must. We at the very least have to get in a quality striker, left back and holding midfielder.

Phillips is gone for sure already given its the end of his loan deal. Bain I think you have to keep at least till the summer unless your able to buy a GK in this January window. Bernardo I am guessing although don't know for a fact that his loan deal is for the full season. But I agree with you no way we should be going anywhere near taking up the offer to buy on him.
The only one I disagree on is Holm. He is clearly not first team ready but he is very young and has shown enough promise IMHO that he is worth keeping. Maybe a good loan deal would help his progress like it did with Ajer.

Holm definitely not. Would need to more of Tillio too. Would be madness showing 6 the door that just came in. Turnbull is worth keeping on until the summer as can do a job if O’Riley/Hatate are injured. The rest wouldn’t be fussed to see go.


We are more likely to sell a bigger player though for £8m + million though when the board start to panic that we might not make CL next year.

I don’t think we’ll sign a goalie in the next window. Expecting a striker and a left back.

 

I honestly dont expect us to bring in the required quality.

we were linked with tete, podence, rieder, jashari, the so called ITK posters coming on stating “oh its not how much we will break our transfer record by but how many times we will break it”

what absolute * waffle, others saying their painters told them who was coming in lol mental.

ended up with what, 8 * players? And only one is starting games, about 35 * players and tbh you would keep about 8, we are an absolute * mess and one window with rodgers picking the buys isnt going to solve it.

 

For me it's gotta be at least a Left Back and a Striker, bare minimum. Ideally I'd like a GK as well along with a quality Winger who could play both sides.

Greg Taylor might try his heart out for us but he's getting targetted in almost every game now by opposing teams, need a replacement as #1 priority I think. Possibly with no strikers for duration of Asian Cup isn't great but we could use a 3rd striker anyway who offers something a bit different from Oh and Kyogo.

I like Joe Hart but his times up now with us, if he can get some confidence back then he'd get us through to the Summer I'm sure but will need replaced in either Jan or Summer. Unlikely we'll see any incoming Wingers though unfortunately, due to the sheer amount of them we have atm.

 

Let's give McCarthy a run..it'll be like a 'new player'

If I had £20m to spend in the summer, I’d go for something like this…

Araujo at LB for £4m
Kevin Denkey at ST for £6m
Emil Breivik at CM for £4m
Aiden Morris at DM for £3m
Aboubakary Koita at LW/RW for £3m


Abada is likely to leave for a decent fee and MJ will likely be sold for something. Palma and Maeda are our only competent wingers. Yang is mince and Forrest is ancient. So definitely need to get a winger in.

I reckon we could have about £17m worth of cash coming back into the club with transfers going out.
