Remember the rumours at the time when we were after Howe the hold up was due to Howe wanting to pick his own DoF (I can't remember the guys name) they had worked together before. When that went * up we very quickly appointed Ange and when Ange started winning the DoF chat disappeared then all of a sudden a few month before Ange left we appoint Mark Lawwell as head of recruitment who just so happened to be the chairman's son. Then they came out and said he was appointed as it was who Ange wanted.

They genuinely expect us to swallow that *

Mark Lawwall was appointed in the summer of 2022 I think.

I don't think the huns will even wait until the summer to spend that cash. They'll splash out in January to boost their title chances.

They * always speculate to accumulate. Our lot will see that we're falling behind and stick a padlock on the biscuit tin.

Brendan's probably been told he needs to sell players in order to buy in January and that's why we're trying to flog Lagerbielke.

Me too. I was pretty much underwhelmed by every signing we made except for Palma and Holm. I was happy enough with Nawrocki/Lagerbielke at the time but I can't say I was that confident about them either and they've hardly kicked a ball.

We needed a quality DM, GK, LB and RW. We were saying that when Ange was still here ffs.

We completely ignored 2 of those positions and signed a guy who was playing in the second tier(!) of Korea for one of them. We then addressed the lack of quality wingers by bringing in obvious projects in Yang and Tilio, before panic loaning Bernardo to make it look like we were doing something at the end of the window. It was a disgrace from start to finish.

I want Rodgers gone but it can't be denied that the board totally * the fans over in the Summer. I don't know how the happy clappers had the cheek to defend that * at the time tbh, it boggles the mind.

Genuinely didn't think I could hate this board more than after that covid season.
But here we are with a chance to finally * kill the huns and we self sabotage ourselves AGAIN.

if we lose this league Desmond and lawell will never get another penny from me and anyone who keeps handing over their hard earned money for fat faced lawell to sit there at the agm and say the board do a good job and deserve their pay rises from our money are * idiots

    Of course they do.

Because the tragic truth of the matter is that many Celtic fans actually do.
Even on here there's more than few, polluting every thread with their gullible pish, labelling any dissent as negativity and attacking critical fans.

They take the boards word as literal, sacrosanct, and incontravertable.
When they inevitably get short changed, they flip the script, pull out the excuses, and again, label any dissenters as spoiled or moon howlers.

One in every 6 or 7 on here is a * board apologist. And more than a few refuse to learn lessons from the past, and still believe every new transfer window won't be like the last.

The reason Desmond and his flying monkeys behave they way they do, is because they can.

There's too many supporters in our ranks who refuse to accept the current and simple reality.

That OUR club is being run appallingly.

The argument years ago to defend Lawwell was “who could we get that is better.” A weak as * argument in all honesty.

However, we got a taste of what life is like without him in a position of power, and I’m sure we can all agree it was far better. The grass was indeed greener. Now he is back and it’s playing out almost identically to the Covid season when he was last seriously involved. The only thing is, this time we aren’t locked out the stadium. Enough is enough. That guy in the main stand on Saturday has to be the catalyst for change. Get this * hounded out the club, and get his son away to * with him. An absolute cancer. He held us back massively when he was CEO, now him and junior are doing likewise again.

Surely there's a few accountants here on TC who could do his job for far less money. Also, we have scouts who can replace Mark Lawwell.

Simple answer is buy shares, transfer the voting rights to the foundation and vote them out.

McCann's vision was a club owned by fans and a few Celtic minded businessmen providing investment vehicles and expertise.

I say it all the time, a charitable club with 70m in the bank that refuses to pay the living wage, a club that was never to be nepotic ever again with father son duos. We have been demoralised by the current administration.

This board has been incompetent, negligent and responsible for the current toxicity surrounding our club. People would be sacked in any other line of business however, these shysters hold on to their positions and gladly award themselves an annual bonus while a lot of our fans struggle to pay for their season books. The AGM is reminiscent of a North Korean or Russian dictators re-election with a hand picked audience who will gladly lap up anything the top table have to say and are even more impressed with how well the club is run financially. So, until something is done to remove this board and replace them with a board who, like the majority of fans, see success on the park as their priority, then we are stuck with these tory *

About 5 or 6 years ago, I myself would have half heartedly defended him. Pointed to us being the only club in the UK in the black. Praised his business acumen and his continental contacts. I would've also pointed out that Arsenal tried to lure him away.
I also would've ardently argued that Lawell does what he's told. That any criticisms of him are a direct result if the empowerment he was afforded by Desmond... Who really calls the shots.

But there's no forgiving him at this stage. There's no argument anyone, including myself, can make that can excuse this * presence at Celtic Football Club.

Chased out after the 10iar season, then snuck back in the side door when things looked up.

We were all praising the job Nicholsen was doing. Business done early, no collapsing of moves or hardball negotiating.

Then boom, Lawell comes back, Nicholsen basically disappears into the * Matrix, and our transfer business becomes a complete * show again.
GB banned, another ex buddy Celtic manager hired and underfunded, and board are cracking Sevco jokes at AGMs and patting themselves on the back about the bank balance.

    The * is * toxic.

Donny going to Frankfurt for remainder of the season. They pay 40% of his wages. Got a clause for 15mil€. Surely we could have payed 40% and have such a clause. Not saying he would have chosen us over Eintracht. But still…

And Livakovic and Daniel Podence who's at Olympiakos now.

Only two of those names plus a Holm, Palma Van Hooijdonk that's a decent window.

Now trust in anyone there to sort this. Too many people pulling in different directions with no doing what's best for football side first.

People need to stop using the League table to decide whether we’re being well run.

When we were 5-7 points clear there was far too much leeway being given to the board.

Now the lead has been chucked, everyone is opening their eyes.

Being ahead of Rangers is NOT the * utopia for this football club
