He should be here also mate but chatter is those 3 will be first in door, hardly screams "quality"

No striker alone will fix our problems of a tactical nature. If these tactics ruined Kyogo, will Miovski suddenly be awesome? I suppose today he'll have a chance to prove he's a man for the big occasions.

Well to be honest a left back, centre back and striker are badly needed. Say for instance Araujo goes in at left back, McKenna in at centre back, Maeda and Abada on the wing and Hatate back in then we hopefully become a much better prospect. Miovski I do rate as well to be honest, think he looks a real player.

Do you maybe know why Lagerbielke is not in our manager's plans, despite being signed by him this summer?

We are not signing a centre back while the manager and assistant manager complain about the number of centre backs we have.

    Just not happening.

At this rate the only way belief is bought back is if the board do the unthinkable and literally hammer home a net spend in Jan of around £25mill+ on 3 players who's quality is utterly unquestionable.

With maybe just to pad the squad further, 2 clever loans akin to that of Jota, CCV, Edouard.

Fact is we are looking at a window where our net spend will likely be less than £2mill and all we do is sign Miovski, send Phillips back but get another CB on loan and then some random RW out of some random league like Cyprus

The way our board work, I could see us punting O'Riley to cover the outlay of bringing the 3 of them in, if it's true.

Its going to take an inspiring window to salvage this season..

And inspired transfer windows are a rarity for us..

Will be some loans out, 3 project players and none of the most important areas strengthened. Maybe a last minute loan and a contract extension for Turnbull on the 31st.

The lad who posted the insight from Paul Larkin has made me even more depressed about our recruitment and this coming window.

I can’t wait to see the list of players a bunch of accountants and yes men come up with for January.

Wait...is McKenna a name were going for?

We're trying to get rid of some CBs to bring another in....makes sense. The celtic way.

That is pretty how I see the window going.

Either the likes of O'Riley or Abada get sold to fund the window, whilst the player we sold doesn't get replaced

Seen on bbc website eaelier that apparently newcastle interested in O’Riley. Could be bullshit but they have a few injuries in their squad and I reckon there’ll deffo be epl interest in him, could’ve been the plan by the board to move him on for a record fee or close enough to it then anyway. The opposite of what we need right now is to sell our best player this season

Think Araujo is a cert going off McGowans reports etc but I highly doubt we will be interested in McKenna and miovski as they’re not an upgrade on what we currently have. McKenna, decent but honestly think the Allsvenskans poty and Nawrocki who are our 3rd and 4th choice cbs currently would be better than him. Miovski I don’t think would be good enough and we can deffo do better for the apparent £3.5-4m figures being talked about tbh

Stating the obvious here - but what a massive transfer window this upcoming January will be.

I went through the current first team squad list (of about 30 odd players the other day) and, in my opinion, I’d only be looking to actively keep about 7 of them.

It’s obviously not feasible to ship out 23 players in one window, but I do think we need about 4/5 decent European-level, proven, quality signings in key positions this January.

There was rumours of the likes of Podence and Tete joining in the summer and I think that’s the level/standard of player we need to be going for in the following positions: centre half; left-back; creative midfielder; winger; and a proper centre forward. There’s money there to be spent and this Board need to realise that you need to spend some of it in order to accumulate, particularly when there’s the riches of qualification for the new Champions League up for grabs.
