This season as a trusted member of the team for a year and a half though.

If Hatate or O'Riley only joined in summer 2022 and the only time we really seen them was in the CL last season by December and they hadn't really even had a sniff of gametime at home domestically, not even 30 minutes of football most fans would be saying the exact same "i've not seen anything"/"they've done nothing".

Think he’s done pretty well anytime he’s been called upon. Only gets a game in Europe too. Not been any better or worse than Calmac so far.
With Iwata out surely him or Holm get the nod v Hearts.

    I'd play him.

Mainly as Holm played a home game or two and he didn't really get involved. Bernardo hasn't had the chance yet in an "easy" game for people really to see what he plays like.

Feel like Turnbull would get bullied against Hearts as well, too stiff and they'll park the bus and be pressing our midfield.

Hatate signed in January 22 and within weeks was slaying Huns at Parkhead and scoring 40 yarders at Tynecastle mate, you are all over the place.

Im not im just saying we've literally never seen Bernardo on the ball really yet, if he'd played even 2 games at home to Motherwell and St Mirren then fair enough.

People seem to mostly be saying he hasn't done anything, shown anything or he doesn't do anything but who would.

He's 21 playing abroad for the first time and barely getting a game and when he does it's tough games. I'd just like to see him playing in a game we'll be on the ball a lot.

Hatate played more domestic football in his first 2 weeks with us than Bernardo has played in 4 month here.

I feel like people always seem to write guys off before we've even seen them just cause they never got a game, people done it to Mooy for example.

Hatate was thrown in at the deep end instantly and kept his place, allowing him to build up a lot of momentum/confidence. Aye he grabbed his opportunity and made the most of it, but the impact he made is a rare thing.

Bernardo not setting fire to the place instantly isn't down to him being a poor player, it's just circumstance. I'd have thought a man with the intellect you seem to think you have would be able to recognise that without having to have it pointed out to you.

Edouard is another example, bet if you went back to December 2017 when he'd been here 3ish months by that point he only started 2 games and made 4 sub appearances and scored 1 goal which was his debut.

People would probably be saying, he's useless, he's done nothing, pointless signing him he can't get a game etc. But once he actually got games and mainly home games domestically he started scoring and then getting more games and confidence and then made his way into the team and people though "hes actually quite good we should sign him".

I'd have played him behind Calmac. Seems like a CDM.

Judging him on a handful of European appearances - where we’ve been scudded - is extremely harsh.

Let’s get the boy some game time in the league and we can see what the score is.

    Any need for it mate?

He contributed to the scuddings but aside that, we won tonight. What did he bring to the table?

We have too many one paced midfielders..

Bernardo, Turnbull and O'Riley but Bernardo doesn't offer anything going forward.. not sure what kind of midfielder he is meant to be..

Seen nothing in him that would make his loan deal permanent.

You're right about him being unspectacular, but he'd probably unshackle McGregor if played at CDM.

Looked to me to be a player who hasn't had much game time playing against a good Feyenoord team.

Let's judge him after a proper run of games, should he get them.

He works hard and is tidy but that's a bit of a minimum requirement.
Just a nothing player for me, totally meh 6/10 type.
Think we need and can do better.

Looks like it’s an unpopular opinion but I really like the look of him.

Neat and tidy, and looks to have an excellent game understanding. Was filling in gaps all over the midfield that probably goes unnoticed.

Wish he’d get a game in Scotland. It’s not as if we’re rattling off clean sheet after clean sheet anyway, even if Rodgers is saying his main attributes are his legs and defensive capabilities.

Be happy to send him back in January. Don't have a clue what he's offering, actually thought he had a poor game last night. Some of the loose balls he gave away were ridiculous, and Feyernoord ran right through multiple times.

I’m no seeing it with him either to be honest. Just looks bang average. It seemed a pointless signing at the time, but it was done to appease the fans I think.

Offers so little right now. In fact, all 4 players we have tried, none have grabbed their chance, maybe could make a case tor Iwata but the other 3 are prime example of where our squad is lacking.
Chances for fringe players can be few and far between, so when a chance presents itself, really have to take it.
