Thought he played well, constantly looking for the ball and defended well, up to the last 5mins he looked jaded, any danger was coming down his side.. so slow trying to keep ball in and then nearly done arguing about it..

 

I dont have any concerns about AJ and I think we will see him back to his best when Maeda returns.

His best game of the season, was excellent.

 

Caught out a few times defensively but far better going forward tonight.

 

I'm very willing to have been wrong about him if he can keep that up.

 

Great game tonight, helped massively by MJ dragging defenders out wide allowing him to get the cross in.

 

Won a penalty and should have had 2 assists for Oh and Kyogo.

Could have had about 3 assists today if * had there finishing boots on

 

And he was unlucky not to score that time he toe poked the ball just wide after a bit of uncertainty with 2 of their defenders.
Good to see him back on song after a ropey run of games, suspect it was more to do with the way our midfield controlled the game

 

Thought he was very good tonight.

 

Got sucked in for their goal but was very good out with that mistake and made up for it with some fantastic blocks. Love his tenacity in the challenge.

 

Great blocks at the end, but other than that offers so little going forward and was caught out of position/missing too often.

 

I think he's struggled massively in Europe this campaign and came up well short. He got injured and took a while to get back again so not too worried I suppose.

 

See being honest thought they were saying he got sucked in, he came in as that guy would have got the ball running in on the middle of the goal as one of the midfielders had dropped him as a runner.

If he doesn’t commit himself there it’s a certain goal.

One thing that impressed me about him over a lot of the others was his use of the ball and ability to get on it despite having close attention something most of the rest of our team were terrible at.

 

His first touch/short passing is suspect at this level. Defensively he isn't as sound too, especially positionally. But it was his first campaign after all.

I probably expected him to perform better over the 6 games, I think he's been rusty after his injury. I feel like he's one who will get better with more experience though.
