I think Lagerbielke has been keeping Starfelt out of the Sweden team. He must be rated over there and we bought him in the summer so we must have rated him too. Too early to judge I think.

Agree regarding our centre halfs needing pace. Also agree it was madness to go 4-4-2. Said that on here after the game. I couldn’t believe he took Iwata off. We were getting steamrollered in the middle of the park.

 

I would agree, but I'm growing to be sick of the sight of Taylor. At least Philps I can rage at and he'll punted in January. Taylor will be here for a bit longer. Taylor needs removed from the firing line for a bit as well. This is the perfect game to do it.

 

If it is part of the deal that Phillips has to play a certain amount of games, then I’d play him with it being a dead rubber. If it’s not written into the deal, I’d play literally any other centre half we have. Guy is an absolute dumpling.

 

Taylor is the left version of Ralston.

I thought the same with that Van De Ven, he plays nearly identical to Starfelt in his style although left-footed. I thought he was the best CB in England when he was fit, tidy on the ball, fast as * and good in the air. Some signing that by Spurs, had never even heard of him either.

He walked into some squad down there Ange, Porro, Ugogie and Bissouma are near enough the exact players Ange would pick as well. Even their new keeper looks good, seems to save everything and never gives the ball away, really quick off his line as well to sweep up.

Be interesting to see how he does at Spurs with 1 or 2 other players and more of a bench.

I feel we need to see more of both, if Lagerbielke was the best defender in Sweden and has a few caps for Sweden he must be ok. Nawrocki only played about 3 games I think, Lagerbielke we've probably seen about 6/7 times?

When Rodgers first came in he preferred Simunovic and Sviatchenko or even Toure and Sviatchenko over Boyata and Ajer yet ended up with Boyata and Ajer as his best partnership the following season, same could happen here lol

 

Well if the board refuse to bring in legit signings in January that will improve the team they risk us losing this league and as bad as the board are its hard to believe they don't see that.

It’s a weird one though cause Helander is ahead of Starfelt it seems.

 

He's must have missed close to 25 games since last season due to injury or not wanting to "risk" him.

Something a little different, we’ll never do it but we should really try a 352 for Europe given our clear weakness at left back.

 

CCV not fit to play and Nawrocki not in CL squad so it’s between Phillips and Lagerbielke to partner Scales.

If Rodgers chooses a loan player, who is absolutely awful and is costing us goals, over our own player that we paid £4m for then questions have got to be asked about him.

I’m not saying Lagerbielke is * hot but play your own players, ones that could potentially come good in the long run. Give them the minutes and experience.
