If our scouts can't find a better left back than Greg Taylor or a better goalkeeper than a 36 year old Joe Hart, maybe it's time we looked to improve in that department as well as on the pitch.

Full club is needing looked at, from top to bottom at this moment. How we've ended up going into games with an ageing Hart, Scales, Taylor, Johnstone starting and Forrest and Yang being relied upon subs is a shambles.

No signs of any youth coming through either.

    • Recruitment is bad.
    • Youth development has been terrible for years.
    • On the pitch performances have been underwhelming to say the least.

What is actually going on ? You would think our majority shareholder would be questioning things.

We need at least 5 players imo, maybe more with the Asian cup. I want a Wanyama type player, behind our creative ones.

    New gk

    AJ CCV Nawrocki? New LB/Scales

    Physical DMC/Iwata

Any combination of MOR Hatate CalMac

    Abada/New Winger-------------- Palma/Daizen

    Kyogo/Oh/New CF

We have bought so many players not even good enough for a Aberdeen or Hibs and we need to stop buying Korean players in the second division for * sake .
The players are that sub standard we are putting the title at risk and that's unacceptable for the supporters and the board really need to spend a bit of that £72 million or we are handling the zombies a big £55 million pay cheque.

Desmond doesn't give a * about the team or we be at least decent in Europe.
He can't even turn up for a * AGM and how many has he failed to turn up at now .
He has those Celtic shares Like a cuddly toy and looks at them now and then and that's * all and we really need a leader at the helm who will turn up at a AGM and take questions from the shareholders and not * hide .

I guess we should all know the drill by now. Wouldn't be surprised if we settled for a loan to buy, plus an unknown prospect from a random country across the globe.

Be staggered if we don’t sign a LB. A starting LB. Although the fact that Rodgers hasn’t even tried someone else there worries me on that front. It’s gonnae be helluva interesting with the asian cup. That might just be the excuse the board need to make short term loan signings, like the Laxalts and Toljan.

Window is a total non entity to me now.

No reason to be either excited or even hopeful. Not whilst Rodgers is in charge. Catch 22 imo. Give him money to * up the wall or give him nothing and watch us slide further down the drain.

Either way, we look like losing this title, and he'll be gone if we do.

    Then prepare to be staggered.

If we win on 30th they won't spend a bean.

Are we attractive enough to sign anyone these days!

Lots of bad press from the media regarding off field * which has affected the mood around the club I think.

People not so long ago held Celtic in high regard...not so much now .

We really need to add power to the side, to stop us getting bullied at corners and long throws.

I think we will try sign a “scott sinclair” type, a bit of quality whos lost there way in england.

You may an important point and one that is being largely missed. Eight signings in the summer- mostly projects and yet our youth system is contributing very little. Would it not be better to sign a couple of projects, a couple of first teamers and supplement the rest with those from our youth system? Instead we sign a load of projects, hope one or two stick and the rest then clog up the squad and block the pathway for younger guys to make their way.

The morons will praise this stockpiling when we are in troubles, saying it was a precaution that payed off, ignoring that the lack of investment got us in troubles in the first place.

What is going on is when you think back to summer 21 and we are after Eddie Howe, at that point we are screaming for root and branch changes to how our club operate including:

    - we needed a good first team coach/ manager
    - we needed a lot of players
    - we needed the academy sorted out.
    - our scouting network was a shambles or non existent.
    - our sports science department lead had left the club.
    - we had a thread bare coaching staff propped up by jobs for ex players.
    - and overall we needed someone who knew what they were doing running the football side of the club. Not the business but the actual football. Someone who oversees all those areas above.

What did we actually get? We got an old school cracking manager in Ange and by the end of January most of the players we required.

So out of 7 things we needed we addressed 3 I would argue as we brought in Anton McElhone to lead sports science and signed some players along with Ange.

Look where we are just now and of those 3 things we did, we have no Ange, several of those players we brought in have left and not adequately been replaced and the Sports Science Head is gone.

Realistically we are not far off needing at least 6 of the things on that list again, with Rodgers being the only thing addressed and if things continue might need addressed again. In addition, Rodgers isn’t an old school manager he is a head coach really.

Will any of the above happen? I highly doubt it in fact it looks like our coaching staff will be light again with Kewell going.

Basically Celtic are where we are because those running it choose to be. We could have easily made our league a one horse race several times now but for the fact that it isn’t good for business to do so in the eyes of those running the club. There is no ambition to be like the progressive clubs out there only to be in a title race with them.

At this point I am not even talking Benfica’s, Salzburgs, PSVs, I am geniunely talking about even being like USG in Belgium who properly scout undervalued players and sign them in our bargain bucket range of <£1m to £3m and are out performing well funded clubs like Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp, Anderlecht etc.

What do they know though I am sure giving jobs to the boys is a better way to scout players.

If we don't sign a left back then all hope is genuinely gone and we may as well pack it in.

The players are dragging us backwards.

80% aren't good enough. If Rodgers was to go tomorrow and this squad of players stays, nothing changes long term.

Won’t happen, but we should be looking to spend at least 20m this window on 3 quality players.
