Nothing like the Soro situation, we all wanted Soro to play because Brown was slow & poor in his final season while Soro brought more pace & energy but that was it.

He was absolute pish on the ball and reading the game, guaranteed yellow every game he played.

Think he’ll now motor on and become one of the real success stories under Rodgers, as has been the case with O’Riley and Scales so far.

Got to keep in the team.

They both play in midfield and that’s about where the comparisons between Iwata and Soro end ffs :56:

Soro was rash, pish on the ball and just all round *. The fact he looked ok for half a season said more about the team he played in than anything about his actual ability.

Aye Soro was a headless chicken who was awful on the ball. Quite similar to Nguemo. * basically. Soro was always a yellow card waiting to happen as well.

Can't help but feel we're utilising him a little too late at this point. The balance in the midfield yesterday was the best we've had in a long while, but he should have been in for at least half of our CL games.

Let's hope he can kick on domestically now though.

Excellent performance last night from Tomo. Lets hope he can build on that now as allowing McGregor to play higher helps us as well. Has to start Sunday I would think.

Should have played hatate in the left fullback inverted role with a mid three of McGregor iwata and O'Riley

Great performance as expected from him last night. Baffling why hes not been given more chances. Has to stay in the team now

Love the way he reads the game , he's always anticipating the next move and the most likely place a ball will end up following an aerial challenge

I really think he has something about him. Hopefully we see a bit more of him now and give him a chance to develop further.

Taking him off proved to be the wrong decision.

Wasn't bad when involved, tidy and strong - but needs to show for the ball a bit better.

I don't really think he's the answer long term.

Has made a difference in some games but I think we are looking for any sort of spark at the moment.

Think we should be looking for better and someone more influential.

That will be Hatate, I’d keep Iwata in there and rotate between Hatate, O’Reilly and McGregor in front of him.

Taking off our most mobile and strongest defensive midfielder when we were being completely overrun wasn't the best decision
