Sadly this sounds accurate, I can see a very similar window to his last here, scatter gun EPL reject loans and still leave us with gaps in the squad.

We need a new GK, LB possibly CB I'd say a CDM and a ST.

    Minimum.

Definitely more physicality needed in the positions, as we are a soft touch.

The shower of useless * running us need to get their finger out their * in January. Get the chequebook out and get a bit of quality in the door. The squad is an absolute disgrace.

They might awaken from their slumber if we are sitting second place. We all know the board are reactive instead of proactive.

But you simply cannot trust them to spend the money properly. Whoever we bring in needs to be of genuine quality. We need first team ready players who go straight in.

If we spend at all, I fear we'll * it on more * who will end up gathering dust for years on decent contracts.

Lennon wasn't even sacked after losing to Rangers on Jan 2. This board will not rectify the situation. Only Rodgers, his players and staff might. But Rodgers isn't looking great right now. The difference from the COVID season is that Rangers do crack under pressure, at times.

We'll try all January for the Danish project, probably end up with a loan.

Obviously there’s now no doubt or debate that the strategy taken by the board in the summer was the wrong one.

I mean, there was never any debate really, until the window slammed shut and the board defenders had to start their mental gymnastics to explain why Taylor AND Hart AND Johnstone AND Forrest etc. would all be playing a prominent role in the squad this season despite our record income and cash in the bank.

Anyway, it’s increasingly looking like they will now have to spend serious money in January to add what should’ve been added in the summer.

I suspect that’s why Miovski is now being linked, as the board now begin to worry and are desperately looking for a bandaid to lift us through the season instead of spending the money on the quality the squad deserves.

I’d love to think they’ll buy the 3 or 4 quality players the manager says we need, but I can already hear the board defenders telling me how difficult the January window is and how the poor wee board shouldn’t be getting any stick..

I can think of at least 6 positions that need strengthened and that’s only the first team … How the * we managed to sleepwalk through the summer speaks volumes about the boards ambition and the respect they have for this club and it’s fans.

It shouldn’t be a surprise, I have lost count now the amount of times they have sleepwalked in positions of strength and made a total mess of things.

See regardless of winning a treble they are the ones that preach about player trading, can’t compete with big leagues, Ray Charles could see a fair few in this squad would want a move in the next year yet we sign absolutely no one capable at first team level until Palma right at the end of the window.

Having had all summer that scrambling about in the last week for players was an all too familiar shambles.

It’s interesting hearing Ange’s comments now about no hope in ECL really, I know he wouldn’t turn down Spurs anyway but it’s no wonder his agent was out touting him about if this is what he could foresee coming. Also is it a coincidence every manager we have gets worse over time.

For the life of me I can’t really remember a time that we’ve actually gone and strengthened from a position of strength?

The clubs ambition seems to be slightly better than an absolute basket case Huns team … It’s no wonder we’ve become an absolute diddy team in Europe

This is exactly where the problem lies. The fluid attacking football every * always talks about is all well and good, bit we need to be able to get into a battle. Today being the perfect example.

We've wasted some amount of money on * that should never be anywhere near Celtic, do the right thing and get proper quality in the door, stop playing at it and act like a big club ffs !

sadly there was debate, people using some previous cheap successes like Hatate, Van Dijk, Wanyama and Dembele to defend the cheap * signings.

It’s the Lawwell factor. The multi chinned tight arsed * along with his son. His comment about stockpiling cash in case we don’t qualify for the CL shows the mindset of this Tory leech.

That still makes my blood boil. For years we were told we budgeted as a Europa League team as we had the qualifiers. Now with automatic CL qualification we are told we stockpile cash incase at some future date we have to go through the qualifiers again. Labelled get to clean *.

The sinister view is they are t even aiming to be better just competitive with them.

Again a blind person could see they are a mess in terms of their finances especially after missing out on CL football this year and having spent a fair bit on guys who don’t look like working out, not mention aging key players and contracts expiring.

What do we do we sell Jota and Starfelt along with getting the wages of a good few high earners off the books bringing in around £24-25m once we gave Benfica their cut of the Jota fee.

See at that point a well run club would have been laughing. On the back of a £40m+ pre tax profit you suddenly have cash in the bank and wages freed up from top earners. We also know we have an ageing goalkeeper and a problem at left back for starters, which really should have been the first two signings in the door closely followed by a striker knowing 3 of our forwards are off the the Asia cup in January. You then know you need a winger or two and a replacement for Mooy.

Nope we proceed to sign 4 centre midfielders, none who have been capable of holding down a first team place. We then know we need a couple of wingers who can challenge Maeda and Abada, we sign Tilio and Yang two absolutely unproven players and leave it late to get Palma in. Centre back Nawrocki looked a good piece of business but now he got injured and can’t get in ahead of Phillips who looks terrible. Then signed a centre back on an agent recommendation of a departing player.

So we get to the end of the window, have accumulated all these players, haven’t addressed your three main needs that you came into the window with and now have a bloated squad at Centre back and centre midfield but with no recognised starters.

Honestly if there was a way to sabotage a position of strength this must have been it. Just meander along signing really inexperienced players and next to no first team additions.
