Just needs more minutes to actually see. We have far too many punts.

Physically miles off it at this point from the little we’ve seen but he does at least look like a wee busy guy with pace. Think he’ll probably see some more minutes this month.

Surprised how wee he was, looks about 5ft 6. I barely paid any attention to him and haven't seen anything of him but I did assume him to be a bigger winger, he's built like a smaller version of Juranovic.

He didn't look terrible but didn't look like he did much either, it's only his 2nd game, I'll not form an opinion from that, wouldn't be fair,

I do still ask what he had that one of our youth didn't though and why we couldn't give them a game

Looks as if he's never touched a drop of protein since birth.

Looks to be carrying a bit of weight compared to clips I saw of him before he signed, maybe that’s just the injury. Definitely think there’s at least a direct player in there…would try get him a loan to a team within our league where he’s gonna be first pick

He was almost anonymous, hardly done anything. Doesn't look anywhere near ready for the 1st team.

Moved across the world, injured for a few months and has played grand total of 30 minutes. But aye * :56:

Suppose the same was said about Jota, Kyogo, Palma etc when they first joined.

Some of our fans think if a player doesn’t score a hat trick on their debut they are *! Mental.

Needs the minutes more than Johnston, imo. With Mikey, we know he’s probably not going to make it - at least to the level we thought he would.

Tilio is a good bit younger, and will desperately need game time to develop. Has a higher ceiling than Mikey, and so should be getting minutes ahead of him, imo. Invest the time in Tilio and Yang, and allow them to develop, then punt at least one on loan for game time when we (hopefully) recruit at least one more ready-made winger.

Folk are only saying what they see in front of them. Thought he looked lively against Motherwell (despite not being on for long), and last night he struggle to impact the game in any meaningful way. I was sitting in line with the wing he was playing on and AJ seemed reluctant to pass to him.

I never saw the game last night so can’t comment on him.

It does surprise me though he is as far of it as it seems, the guy Alex Barker that works for the Athletic and who is pretty clued up on his football gave him rave reviews in his scouting report for 20 minute Tims.

I know it is just an opinion but he is pretty clued up on young talented footballers and thought he would be a hit. He still might be but doesn’t seem to be close at the moment.

It is criminal that we are carrying MJ, Yang and Tilio along with Forrest for our wide positions. MJ should be sold in January and at least one of Yang or Tilio put out on loan.

It was the same podcast report that had me excited about him. Still time for that to come to fruition I suppose, but last night he wasn’t impressive.

He didn’t do much last night, should’ve had an assist I think from Iwata miss I think? Done well at another point but shot was a pass back.

I don’t know if he will be good or not bit certainly wouldn’t judge him on anything so far. He came on at 4-1 or 4-0 can’t mind but by then the game was done we had made changes and lost our rhythm as we do in these situations.

Understand the sentiment as we are often asking the same question in australia

I for one am grateful for any chance he gets and hope he brings as much joy to celtic fans as rogic and ange

he was super tentative at first last night. He will be better for the experience once he gets over the nerves

In full flight i reckon he has a goal or an assist per 90 minutes in him. He is quite good. Also works surprisingly hard off the ball for a creative player. He is young though so not perfectly consistent yet and he looked super tentative last night

Marco Tilio is looking for a Celtic circuit breaker, with the out of favour attacker understood to be seeking a loan spell back in the A-League.
FTBL can reveal that Tilio, 22, has reached out to former clubs Melbourne City and Sydney FC in pursuit of game time, after being effectively shunned by Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers.

Recalled by Socceroos chief Graham Arnold for January’s Asian Cup, Tilio has enjoyed no such fortune since joining the Bhoys on a five-year deal from Melbourne City in June.

Hampered by an early injury setback, he’s since made just two senior appearances - for a total of 27 minutes - and hasn’t been in a match day squad since a cameo off the bench in a 4-1 win over Hibernian at the beginning of December.

Sources in Glasgow suggest Tilio is unhappy with his inability to progress up the pecking order at Celtic Park, and his representatives have sounded out both City, who picked up $2.8 million from his sale, and the Sky Blues as possible loan destinations.

Eyebrows were raised by some when Arnold named Tilio in his 26-man squad for Qatar, in light of his glaring lack of game time.

However, the tournament gives the youngster a welcome reprieve from the life on the periphery at Celtic, and the opportunity to rebuild belief and confidence with probable exposure against the likes of group opponents India, Syria and Uzbekistan in the coming weeks.

Tilio remains a key figure for the Olyroos who in April will compete in the AFC U-23 Asian Cup in pursuit of qualification for the 2024 Paris Games.

Rodgers gave a hint of his view on Tilio’s place in the scheme of things earlier in the month when he said: “He’s okay. He is training away.

“I think because we had some injuries he got himself onto the bench (against Motherwell and Hibernian) but other players have come back and he found himself outside of that again.”

It’s unclear at this point whether Celtic would sanction a loan spell until the end of the season
