You mean like not bringing in 2 cbs at £7m and bringing in, say a French CH at £7m? Say Christopher Julien for example? Then see him against Lyndon Dykes...

Don’t you think fans can simultaneously not want to sign him or feel that there are certain parameters within the deal that might not be best suited for where we are as a club AND support him if he does sign?

I don’t think we should sign him for many reasons. He’s too expensive, Aberdeen will put a premium on him because it’s us, very few strikers from the SPL have really made it here, I think there would be better out there for that sort of money if we scouted properly, it also shows a complete lack of scouting in reality.

I also don’t think we should be spending a larger fee on a striker when the two strikers we have aren’t leaving. They’re just out for a month for international duty. We should be looking at Loan to Buy options, which would rule out Miovski.

Doesn’t mean I won’t support him when he’s playing for Celtic or I won’t cheer when he scores a goal, as will many others who don’t think we should sign him.

Julien was a decent defender and had it not been for injuries, he would have more than justified his £7m price tag. The injuries scuppered that, not his ability,

People can do what they want mate, am just saying 100% the club will take it in the neck off some regardless of how it pans out.

Who should take it in the neck if it doesn’t pan out? Given it will be quite a significant outlay for the club to purchase him.

3.5m. Would be good for the ten man brick walls in the SPFL but he does miss a lot - Having said that, we do have people that can tutor...Errrr..would be my answer

I'd take him if he's sound being backup/ cover for Asia Cup and the price was right.

Impossible to know. He's a talented lad, but not all talents can handle the pressure at our club. He could thrive and score a barrel-load, or fold like a cheap tent.

But if the club feel he's worth the money they will go for it, and they'd be right to do so as they have analysts paid to do their homework on players.

Every player we sign has the potential to make ithere, it's a matter of patience and strength of character whether they do or not.

I largely agree… that’s where this particular case is different though.

I like him and had we been needing a new striker, I’d be all for it and the price of £4m wouldn’t put me off. I just think that, given we have two very talented strikers at the club, one at his peak and the other showing a lot of potential, it would be silly of the club to fork out that much money for a player who will probably be a 3rd choice option come the end of the window.

I also think that it would impact our ability to spend on certain other positions we need to address urgently, like LB and GK.

You put Oh in that * Aberdeen team and see how he does, I can't see him doing as good as Miovski, he'd just be another big battering ram in a * Scottish team. Would end up like Cosgrove or Dykes.

Depending on the price Aberdeen are willing to accept, he's definitely worth a gamble for me.

Ah yeah, we should look to sign dykes and miovski then.

Front two of them will sort us out for sure.

It's not just the price tag, it's the wasted money elsewhere that we often do. When proper scouting and finding a talent worth paying for would surely make more sense, than the never ending low offer projects.

Tbh I've said the price is what I'm not sure about, but even more important is the fact that Oh would be less likely to get the minutes he needs. Like you, I think he's got something about him. In fact I think he has the potential to be a * massive player. Physical, arrogant (in a good way), technique, composure. If he somehow gets a good run through injury to Kyogo (* forbid), I think he'd absolutely murder this league.

But aye, am leaning towards no for Miovski, but you just never know with any signing. There's literally zero point in making any sort of assumption on anyone.

Not for me. I'd rather go to the English leagues and find another Gary Hooper type.

Bringing in Miovski makes sense to me, depending on the prize of course. We could maybe sweeten the deal by sending Oh on loan the other way the rest of the season, letting Johnny Kenny be third choice striker in the meantime.

Tbf that's been the case for the entire history of the club. You're never gonna please everyone.

Unfortunately Gary Hooper after 20 goals in the championship would cost £12m upwards nowadays.

Gonna be hard to find a deal like that.

McBurnie scores 20 one season then cost £20m. It's 5m for a player who scores 20 in league 1

He would still get goals like Miovski does. Maybe more in all honesty.
