100% he’s the best since Larsson IMO, he did so much more that just score goals.

Aye and as much as I love Kyogo, his physical attributes will always make it a bit more difficult in certain games.

Aye we need to work the ball upto him and get high up the pitch to work him in, where he will 100% do damage when we manage that.

But you can’t turn around launch the ball at him see him ragdoll a defender out the road, turn and power past another one and get the rest of the team pushed high up the pitch. I can remember two or three times against RBL him doing that.

Johnny Hayes, never a world beater but I thought he always did a good job whenever he was drafted into the left back. A good honest professional and good to see him still turning in performances up at Aberdeen.

Eddy, for me, should have become a better player than he has. All the talent in the world and he has achieved very little. Not quite Ntcham levels of squandering talent but still a sad waste.

I agree that Eddy edges it over Kyogo and Moussa. Great post. And nice to see one of the few threads I’ve authored get bumped after so long. :67:

Skippy doesn't get mentioned as much as other forwards but he was a hunskelper and scored vs Milan and Man Utd

I know he was at the tail end of his Celtic career in 2000, but Wieghorst was always reliable

Lee Naylor - I thought he was one of our better left backs since 2000

Couldn't stand naylor for some reason. Good 6 months then turned into Mo Camara. Maybe a bit harsh but I just didn't like him.

He wasn't a Tierney, or even Izzy, but did ok for a while I thought.

Aside from those mentioned, we've had problems in that area, which maybe explains why I put him in.

Thought Steven Pressley was good for us in his time here.

Maeda will be mentioned on here one day. Guy gets some amount of unfair criticism.

    Unless he has been already.

Starfelt is another that divided opinion and will probably be mentioned, but you could go back to the number of attacks he started last season, that we got goals from.

Paul Hartley rarely let us down.

Strachan taking out Donati & Brown for Hartley & Robson was pivotal in us turning round the League in

Done it just for you mate :fear:

but Eddy’s too obvious, the actual answer is Rab Douglas or Momo Sylla. Both were superb on the way to Seville, and nobody rates either of them in the slightest:56:

The only game Nakamura absolutely destroyed the Huns was when Hartley and Robson would absolutely go through any of them trying to be dirty, over physical or strike out kicking * out of him like the previous games before then. Robson as an obvious dirty * ragdolling *, to Hartley just walking up behind guys and * studs down their achilles, they protected him that game. And he ran riot.

They last 8 games, Lennon getting brought in as coach to bring fire to the dressing room, Broony either injured or suspended can’t mind what one and Hartley and Robson coming together by chance in the middle, and Gary Caldwell for that last run of games to win the league turning up as the player he always believed he was in his own head. Those three as the foundation in the middle to back along with the sheer willpower and determination of Big Mick, the mentality and steel, along with the ability they did have because the ability is often underplayed, Hartley immediately adapting to DM position. That was such a special run of games culminating in Tommy Burns Thursday.
