Would he get a game ahead of a 35year old Lewis stevenson or a 36 year old jonny hayes?

Im not even joking, that is a genuine question about our * 1st choice left back

He's been atrocious all season (I got berated for saying this a few weeks ago) but I don't think he was at his worst tonight.

However I've been saying it for 3+ years, he isn't good enough. He had a purple patch domestically under Ange because he was basically playing as midfielder and rarely had to defend.

He is a LB who cannot defend, is small, weak, slow and can't attack. So essentially he's missing every attribute you look for in a full back. Even if he was * going forward you could forgive him if he was capable defensively.

It's actually astonishing that he's been our first choice LB for 3/4 years now and has had no real competition. It basically sums up our entire approach as a club and we wonder why we continuously have our trousers pulled down in Europe.

Everything to do with Forrest in the context of last nights game. He’s that much of a shitebag he’s she default whipping boy for most yet still comes in and does a job week in and week out.

Could we do better or find someone with more appropriate attributes? Aye. But that doesn’t make him a poor player or a shitebag.

When Palma plays he doesn't pass it forward either.
Forrest was poor but that makes no difference to Taylor. He's haa no interest in passing the ball forward, only wants to pass easy backward passes to pad his stats. He's a * bag who offers nothing

Genuinely feel sorry for the guy.

I shouldn’t, he could pay my mortgage off with his wage next month.

But you can see he tries like *. He has decent attributes.

He’s just so weak, slow, targeted every big game, positionally inept, and completely out of sync with whatever guy is playing is front of him this time.

    Yang, Forrest, Maeda, Palma, Johnston.

Must be difficult when you’ve got the ball in real time, with * pressing you like their life depends on it, and the fella doesn’t know if his teammate is showing short, long, or not at all.

This is difficult in a game of fives, let alone playing for Celtic.

In fairness to him tonight, he received the ball plenty times and opened his body up for the ball forward and there was * all on. Ball back to Scales.

It’s a bit of a shambles. As much as he’s not perfect, we could do worse. He’s an honest player, but yet another one who’s ultimately not good enough to play for us every week.

I think we're/he's missing having Starfelt beside him to dig him out a hole.

The loss of Starfelt can't be over stated. His experience wouldn't have allowed him to be be bullied by Immobile either, who didn't even have to jump or lean in.

Left side needs of the defence needs addressed. Starting wi Taylors replacement.

I think the failure to replace KT is just another damning indictment of what is wrong with our board.

It almost feels a bit redundant to comment on him at this point, we know he doesn't have the attributes to play in a Rodgers team, but outside of not fitting into a system he's just been so bad at the basics this season, I think there's a real shout for dropping him and going 3-4-3 or 3-5-2.

The thing that’s annoying me more than anything with him, is the near constant backwards play or at best a square ball.

    It's where I'm at.

If he has a good game I'll happily comment on it, but that's not exactly common now.

We know he doesn't fit this system, he's miles off it.

Just play Iwata instead of him.

At this point he's not even playing left back anymore anyway.

He stands there at kick off and then moves inside 2 be 1 of the 2 sitters alongside Mcgregor.

Having such a bang average player playing as one of our 2 deeplying playmakers is a massive contributing factor to why we have played so * most of the season.

Id be willing to bet he must be constantly 1 in top 3 for players with most touches per game.

He is woeful as a conventional full back. Another position where I just canny believe we didn’t strengthen in the summer. How many times does he just give it away with a pish pass.
