When every other fan of a club in the CL watches the draw, they all want to draw Celtic - we're their 6 point banker. We've had 3 o4 4 decent European campaigns since Stein left the club 45 years ago. No Celtic fan under 50 has seen the club at the business end of a European tournament with the exception of Seville, that now also being 2 decades ago.

I was in Rome over the weekend and saw tons of Celtic fans, ordinary men and women who spend their time and money following the team in Europe to be sold short like this every time, year after year, decade after decade. The Celtic support deserve so much more.

Well done the board! It's been another great Champion's League campaign. I'm sure the £70m in the bank is very happy! If we do manage to win the league again this season and get the £50m in CL money then I look forward to more project players and kissing our wonderful £120m in the bank. Fantastic stuff! Obvious the lack of quality is it difference as many are saying, including the manager.

However, what has the likes of Iwata and Phillips done to Brendan that neither get a sniff. Are we utilising the best quality we have ?

Surely Iwata would free up McGregor to play further forward. Philips to centre half and have a solution to the most frustrating position on the field at Left back.

We are too lightweight as well as lacking quality. We need big strong physical type players. Half of our team lack height and strength.

 

Cannae mind where I heard it recently, but it was conversation about the Seville side 03. Not drawing alike for like with today's side, but everyone of that side was a leader. Someone who could dig you out a hole. Fight for you whilst able to play decent football.

I dread to think of what other stats are out there. Off the top of my head we haven't won a game in the CL for 10 years and haven't won a knockout tie in ANY European competition for 20 years.

Games lost, goals conceded, goals scored, chances created etc. We must be up there as one of the worst teams, if not the worst team to consistently play in Europe since 2004.

It's like a never ending nightmare at this point.
