    I wish I could say I was confused as to why a board would go out and actively head hunt a manager that was thought to be done here, I wish I could say that I was then further confused as to why they didn’t back this headhunted manager.

    But I’m not confused… this is Celtic… our owner, chairman and board are * useless at running a proper European competitive football club.

    Lazy option. Same as Lennon. In theory he should be a great appointment but already the football is stale in the majority of games and we're out of Europe and the first domestic cup of the season.

    Unless something changes in January, we're in for a long, boring season and run the risk of losing the league to a team that had a rancid start to the season and sacked a manager by October(?).

    I'm honestly starting to think they've only hired him back just to * off the fans.

    Firstly by hiring him, they know he would split opinion.
    Then by not backing him, will just * off everyone else anyway.

    I can not understand why they chased after him again, why he agreed to come back, when nothing has actually changed since he was last here.

    All the talk in his first presser about European ambitions and unfinished business - either he's been stitched up by the board, or he was completely full of *.

    Considering how it ended the first time around, you got to assume he's been stitched up.

    I don't think you can look at it any other way other than he's been stitched up..

    There's not a chance he came back for the backing he's got so far. He must be seething inside..

    There's clearly been multiple * ups from no getting targets and whatever else.....it's pitiful though. We should've been well ahead of schedule and in with a fighting chance on the last day against Feyenoord..

    Everyone could see from match day 1 that we were short. I actually think we've competed well at points in the groups as well..

    He said at the AGM the signings were his decisions Not one of them has made an impact other than Palma arguably

    The most depressing this is that if we had recruited properly in the summer, we absolutely could have got out that group.

    Does anyone else feel like they’ve repeated themselves constantly for the past few years in saying we need a left back, GK, CDM, quality on the wing etc?

    The boards lack of ambition is holding the club back massively and it’s painfully obvious.

    Look at the side we had out. Struggling lazio side or not it's away from home in Europe and its celtic. I went into that with zero expectations.

    I highly doubt he's telling the truth that those are all his signings.

    After how it ended last time, he was rightly * off and left cause he was undermined by Lawell.

    When he was reappointed, I think he was genuinely happy and wanted to make amends. Now it appears he's being undermined again, but he's accepting, when he doesn't really need to take this job.

    All very laid back about it considering he's known for having an ego. Very bizarre all round. Top manager not backed. Just to stay ahead of the Zombies.

    Said a couple hours back. January to me, will give an indication to whos in charge and if he's here longer than a year.

    All completely agree man.

    And that's what becomes so much more frustrating.
    When you see how close we can get, knowing that those 4 or 5 key signings would have made a huge difference as well.

    Pitiful indeed.

    Fair enough with the injuries and suspensions.

    I hope they weren't his signings but his track record for signing in general is questionable. Even when he was at Liverpool he bought some amount of pish.
