In a half hour cameo he won a penalty and put one on a plate that Yang should have scored. That's against a team with 11 men behind the ball. The team * it today, but MJ did well when he came on.

He needs to go. He just doesn't have what it takes. End product is poor. Decision making is poor. Think there's a huge menta block there for him playing for celtic and he can't overcome that. Enjoys playing for Ireland is doing well.

For his own sake, he needs to go.

I thought MJ done more in 30 mins than palma and Yang done whole game. Think palma was feeling the effects of 98 mins played Tuesday and only flying back into glasgow Friday in fairness. Mikey won a peno and should’ve had an assist while also successfully dribbling past some players twice, one ending up in a woeful shot by him but I think if he gets more minutes he’ll g t more chances and have better efforts obviously. I thought yang was brutal tbh but I think he could be more suited out left. Tilio looked comfy on the ball and played a nice ball into the box but too little a cameo to really see anything

Set up what should have been a goal if not for a sitter and won a penalty. Good showing from him

Finally a player making a deal about a shirt tug. If you do it’s a stick on pen as the precedent has been set with the Rangers penalties all year.

I thought he did quite well from what I seen, but anyone expecting miracles off him straight off the bat is being unrealistic. It's all about finding a rhythm over a number of games, and building confidence from there. But promising signs I thought.

Thats fair. I thought he did reasonable well yesterday and considering the mountain of games we have over the next month or so and all the injuries particularly to Abada and Maeda we need Johnston to make a solid contribution to the team over the next month. When January rolls around as Johnston himself has admitted we can assess at that point whats the best decision to make for him and for the club. But for now we need him to be a contributor for the team and yesterday he showed some promising signs in that regard.

Yep well put. As long as he stays fit I think he can at least have some useful input. One goal is all it could take to light him up.

Put in a couple of very good balls with his left foot..

    The one for Yang particularly..

Doesn't have a future here but wasn't bad at all..

First things first I think he should go for his own sake. I don’t think he can handle the pressure of being a Celtic player but has talent. He should go make a career elsewhere.

On yesterday he done ok when he came on his ball for Yang was great he should be scoring, he won a penalty too more out of stupidity of the defender but still done that. His shooting was poor on his one chance he fashioned for himself.

Sadly if we look to our squad from last year he is taking Haksabanovic’s place as a back up left wing option and he isn’t making the impact he did at this stage of the season. It’s just another sign of a downgrade in the squad.

Definitely his first 10/15 mins made a difference. Just Lazio kept their shape to the end :39:

He was fine, he's not the answer going forward but he done more in his stint than Forrest did all game prior.

Good cameo. We actually looked a bit more dangerous when he came on.

As others have said, probably isn't the answer going forward but he should be getting selected over Forrest and probably even Yang at this point.

There's still a player there. I think he's looked good in the odd cameo he's had. He gets in the opposition's faces too and has a bit of cheek unlike too many of our other players.
Shouts for decisions too - if it had been any other player pulled back at the weekend we probably wouldn't have got the pen as they wouldn't have made the big deal he made of it.
I just wish fans would get off his back and just let him play and see what happens.

He is very quick to turn and face up his full back. Which is something Forrest seemed scared to do.

    * it. Start him with Palma at the weekend

He did what he always does beats a man then runs right in to the next he has zero end product. Yes he was better than Forrest but that is hardly praise. It's embarrassing that it's 2023 and we just subbed Forrest for Johnston and it was actually a sub we wanted made
