I can see what your trying to say but he chooses to support a club where the majority of fans have irish roots and then acts butthurt when they don't want to respect the British Army.

Would be like being a Barca or Atheltic Club fan and acting appaled when they boo the Spanish National anthem at Copa finals.

The Daily Hun Record seeking out Rod Stewart in Las Vegas to question him about the minutes silence lol....... Rod is a Celtic fan, good for him, but I don't give a flying * what he thinks about our support, and I give even less of a * about the Hun basturds at the daily record. Sooner that piece of * goes out of business the better !!. * them.

I'll personally never forgive him for congratulating Boris Johnson on his election victory. He has as much right to support us as I do; but I wish he'd go and play with his obscene wealth in London or the States and leave Celtic alone.

Why would anyone care what Rod Stewart thinks or says? Guy’s a washed up rock star who just happens to support the same team as us.

He might not be belting out the rebels and waving the flag of Palestine at matches, but the club clearly means something to him,no? We’re a broad church, like it or not,not everyone is the stereotypical Tim.

I don’t agree with Rod Stewart on many things. I think he’s still a Celtic fan though.

It’s almost like our support aren’t a monolithic bunch of clones with the same views on absolutely everything.

    I don't think that's fair mate ?!?
Whatever you think about Rod Stewart, it seems pretty clear that he's mad into Celtic. The guy is a bona fide global superstar, he's worth more money than most of us can even compute never mind imagine having ourselves, he's literally living in a different world from us........ But his credentials as a Celtic fan are genuine.

The problem with/for Rod, and anyone in the public glare, is that when something like this storm-in-a-teacup Poppyfest * crops up, and they get asked the direct question from Hun basturds like the Daily Record........ They can only really answer it one way or else expect an onslaught of bullshit and hyperbole from the gutter press. Would I love to hear Rod say "* yir murdering British army *, I couldn't give a shiney * about yir poppycrap efforts to legitimise illegal wars"... YES, I'd love it, but there's no way him or any other Celtic fan who lives their lives in the public eye can come out with that. They get asked the question, not because the person asking is in anyway interested in their opinion, but because the person asking has a clear agenda and is hoping to use the answer to crucify the 'Star' or slag Celtic. The daily record has a smaller readership than Talk Celtic FFS, yet they're going out of their way to contact Rod Stewart in Las Vegas to get his opinion on what happened at Celtic Park BEFORE the game even started...... Think about it ???? Then think of how it would go depending on what answer Rod gave....... Then treat the whole Daily Record "Rod Stewart says...." bullshit non-story with the utter contempt it deserves.

Huns gonna Hun, it's really that simple.

Like I said he only started supporting Celtic after meeting Jock Stein

He’s obviously mad into Celtic since his thirty's I suppose

Yeah, whereas you and I were born into it..... I had no * choice lol, I was born into a family of Celtic supporters, I was going to the games home and away when I was actually still too young to appreciate the football, I loved the run on the bus and all the other exciting things that the day out involved........bully for me !!! I'm more of a fan than someone who might have been born in a different country and didn't discover Celtic until they were old enough to choose Celtic over all the other teams despite not having the family connection.......
