A few more from last weekend.

 

Excellent Johniebhoy !!

I'm sure everyone already knows this lol, but I've just discovered that if you tap on Jb's pictures, they go full size and you can zoom in and see fantastic detail. Previously I've just been expanding the photos as they appear on the thread, still great detail to be seen, but I've just 'tapped' one by accident and the photo has increased in size about 10× the original size, tap it again and it goes back to normal size.

As I say, I'm sure you guys all have that sussed, but just thought I'd post it anyway just incase there's anyone else out there as slow as me lol who didn't realise. The photos are brilliant by the way.

Don't want this last comment to sound like a complaint, it absolutely is not......... But it would be great to have the names of what type birds they are ? The photos themselves are beautiful to look at, but if they were educational into the bargain, then it would be an added bonus.

 

I'm sure, no I know, we'd all help you out with that Que. It's the best thread on TC

 

Cheers QSS, and it doesn't sound like a complaint at all, i'll certainly bear it in mind if hopefully i get to post a few pics after the weekend, I often have to defer to Johnboy and Cider (John and Pete) for the names of some birdlife as they're the wildlife experts on this thread.

 

Everyone keep an eye out for Waxwings, there is a bit of an invasion this Autumn going into Winter, while most are are in the Highlands at the moment they can can turn up virtually anywhere, especially places with Rowan Berry Trees, such as Supermarket Grounds, housing estates, Parks, Forests, Woodland edges etc etc

A few from Saturday morning at Balisodare, apologies for the way the birds in the pics are named, i haven't worked out how to insert words in between each pic, so if anyone knows how...

 

I was absolutely delighted to witness this predation on Saturday morning, a Peregrine Falcon lifted a Teal out of a flock on the far side of the bay and flew diagonally in my direction and i managed to get a few shots in as he/she sped away to the right of my hide.
P.S. i think i might have just accidently found how to insert between pics.
