That’s why I said 20 odd, 17 has to be counted under 20 odd. 16 might be stretching it a bit. Those 3 seasons he returned around the same number of goals and assists though, 19/20 season he had 14 in the league alone. Always sticks out to me that stat, just checked it, he had 28 games. 10 goals as well in the league.

20 odd as a description is deserved for me :56:

You’re not wrong and the thing is there’s a good chance he is the best option. I just hope he doesn’t start because it would be an indication that he we might have better in Tilio/Yang.

Typical. He gets injured for being too soft in his tackle, that then got a red card that cost us any chance in the game, when it was clear it wasnt a red. Sounds like we're playing the huns soon and the goat murdering * have started sacrificing early.

Wait whit. Surely 20 odd means 20-something? Literally the first time I've ever seen anyone use it to mean anything below the number :giggle1:

Still in shock that Forrest got them numbers ... never remember him being that prolific.

Maeda will be a massive miss. Folk underrate him so much.

I would always have said 20-odd to mean something in the region of 20. So 17 would be 20 odd :giggle1:

That’s * :giggle1: 20 odd is 20 something like from 21-29… if it was in the region of 20 I’d say around 20. My heads minced haha

For me, 20-odd is just a bit more than 20, never less

Yeah, "20ish" might stretch to include 17, but "20odd" is definitely a number between 20 and 30.

Nothing wrong with saying "about 20 odd" and discovering the actual number was "17" as you were in the ballpark and not wildly exaggerating or anything, but once you've established the number is 17, you can't continue to claim it as 20 odd lol.

    :97: You feeling ok? :56:

‘20 odd’ refers to a number in the 20s.
    It doesn’t mean ‘approximately 20’.

Hmmm... I checked 3 different dictionaries and it seems that both meanings are correct in British English. That seems about right to me: when I think of 20-odd, the first meaning that springs to mind is "approximately 20" but I can feel the other meaning too if I stop and think. I guess it depends on context.

Merriam Webster only lists the 20+ meaning, so I don't know if it's also ambiguous in the US.

I would put 20 odd, as around 20. 17 would just about sneak in ... 17-23 maybe.
