They do speak to other fans on various platforms, if you listen to it there's little reason to doubt he is from the GB..

This all day long. Sadly though, as you rightly say, there are still some who think .. will run with the board banned them for the Palestinian flags... when that is and was simply bullshit/a lie but the gb are happy enough to go along with that * as it deflected from that utter disgrace of a banner.

Although the Clubs statement has raised the issue of that banner, so see what happens next...

GB doing some Zionist style deflection tactics "it wasnae us it was them" is the biggest irony of them all, denying the fact the reason it happened was for something else not the flags

All true mate, but even the banner was merely the tipping point. The main issue is all the safety breaches it seems to me, and consistently over a number of months even going back to last season. The club pull them up for it yet they carry on regardless, basically rubbing the clubs noses in it because they know if the club does anything about it, they'll just cry about it and a large number of 'Celtic supporters' will back the GB to the hilt.

Was a big fan of the group for a long time but I now find myself wanting them to *. * selfish *.

I still think it was the flags too TBH... for the moment, anyway. IMHO, the main problem with the kind of statement you and Double Dutch are criticising is that too many of them state this interpretation as if it were a fact. There are also plenty doing that in the opposite direction. Of course we all do this sometimes; but there's just something about any thread that touches on either the GB or Peter Lawwell and suddenly this sort of thing is everywhere.

We've had Palestine flags amongst the support for a long time, I lean more towards believing it.

Im not downplaying the safety breaches mate as they have to be observed/tracked as we have a responsibility to ensure they are followed, to maintain the certificate/approval from the council to keep the standing section open and I think we all want to keep that. Although, ironically, this is something the gb/section dont seem to give much of a * about though.
Having said that I can overlook these issues, knowing that the Club will ensure they, the gb/the section, are reigned in before it gets out with our control and thats what is happening now.
Tbh, no surprises here, but my tipping point was the banner, utterly utterly inexcusable and shameful.

The Club statement makes it crystal clear it was not to do with the flags, so you can either believe it or not, your choice, but Im not going to spend ages going over it.
Here is an inescapable fact for you RR - the gb have had weeks to clarify if the banner was in support of hamas or not.. they have said * all* instead they chose to go off on some rant about elitist boards blah blah.

*imo any reasonable individual can very safely work out the reason for that.
As i said to you before - If I ask you right now do you support hamas, you will immediately say no, not just * ignore the question because you are smart enough to know that by not answering it you are BUT don't have to actually say it.

This has been a * contest going back to the Ronny days between the GB and board. Both sides have done wrong and need to be actual grown ups, sit down and get it all out in the open.

Club took a risk in letting the GB ‘self police’ the standing section which backfired a few times but then they are also happy to use pictures of their tiffo's for publicity as well as the atmosphere they help bring.

Wouldn’t be hard to get a few of the head ones from the GB sit down with the SLO & board members to come to some agreements. Head up safe pyro (I know its not the same but better than nothing) in Scotland and in turn lower police presence in the curve if the GB can follow the rules.

Board and GB need to get their * together! I stand with GB though!!

My only worry is that they disband! A lot of you wont like this, but most of the stadiums forgot how to start songs without them... atmospheres will b dreadfull.

The board may say it isn't about Palestine Flags, but I'm not convinced, the Board put out a statement pleading for fans not to bring them for the Atletico game, the GB countered urging fans to display them.. which we did..

This must have severely * off the board. If the board were so worried about safety concerns why didn't they ban the GB for the Atletico game? All the infractions listed occurred before then, bar Hibs, which the GB were banned for in any case(and was policed/stewarded awfully) The flags at the Atletico have definitely played a part..

Banning the GB is a purely a public relations exercise by the board to appease UEFA, media and sponsors.. They may feel it as necessary and to be fair we're not running the club and are not party to any pressures they may be under.

The banner issue has been talked to death, but this was a * up by the GB, which will have also played a part in this cluster *.

The safety issues are issues I feel could have been worked through and for me don't warrant a ban..

But, just because the board say one thing, it shouldn't be taken as absolute gospel..

There is zero chance any self respecting ultras group start using ‘safe’ pyro and sparklers,or curb their political stances,if you know anything at all about the ultra mentality it’s a complete non-starter.They’d actually rather be banned.

Why did the board not ban them before the Atletico game if it’s not about the Palestine display? All the things they have mentioned previously in their statements happened before this game. The board specifically went out their way to plead with fans not to bring Palestinian flags, the GB then had a display for Palestine ignoring the board, then they get banned. These are facts.

Pity the board haven’t released a statement with a plan going forward for Europe to stop us being a * laughing stock.

This needs sorted asap. Feel like we are becoming a bit of shambles on and off the park now, could go further south soon too. Few weeks ago it felt like we were flying now I’m worried about us.

I'm not sure I necessarily believe the board's statement, mate. I'm not the only one. It's taken them a surprisingly long time to make this statement and AFAIK they haven't actually made public the evidence of safety breaches that they mention, which would help a lot.

Equally, yes, the banner thing undeniably deserves criticism. As you say, they have had ample time to clarify that and have chosen not to do so. I'm not defending them for that, I think it deserves to be criticised; but I also think it doesn't necessarily follow that they support HAMAS. I can see the reason that you have worked out for yourself and of course that is plausible line of reasoning; but I can also see several other possible reasons. Edit: if it does turn out that the banner meant what you believe and was supported by the whole group, I will support your judgement of it and any sanction the board might choose to impose. But only if there is hard evidence.

Neither party here is earning an A+ for communication as far as I can see.

It would be the mother of all coincidences if it weren’t about the ‘victory to the resistance’ banner, I think any sane person can see through the smoke and mirrors.

I don’t think the club are doing themselves any favours by dismissing it as even a minor issue, if they had at the very least just admitted it was one of their reasons that would have been a step in the right direction.

It's 100% about the Palestine display. The club were clear about that when they banned them.

Now that there's been some backlash against Israel they're trying to backtrack on it. Pretending it's an ongoing safety issue and coming up with a list of every time the GB is supposed to have farted or sneezed.
