He just looks quite ordinary to me. I havnt seen anything that he does particularly well. Still early days

 

Workmanlike. Would rather Holm got minutes based on what I've seen so far, although he's looked better coming off the bench so maybe Brendan knows best?

 

He was a last minute appeasement signing from our *, half-arsed board. It is so blatantly obvious it's painful. Expect nothing from him. He's a semi-decent U23 Benfica player. That's it.

 

If he doesn't do well enough to stay here, I get the feeling he'll go to a European club and kick on for a very good career.

Definitely. It wasn’t even a position we really needed. He isn’t a holding midfielder which we did need and isn’t an attacking one either. He looks an out n out centre midfield. The clips of him made him look quite cumbersome, I’ve not seen anything so far to think otherwise either. That could be down to lack of games granted. I’d have Holm and Turnbull ahead however.

 

Like someone else said he was a panic signing to try appease us hoping he had a Jota like impact.

He doesn't look a bad player just not a great one and given the choice we should be looking to develop Holm over him with minutes played.

To be fair, at that stadium anything hit with power that goes over the bar is out of the stadium.

 

Not really seeing it with him. As a few folk are saying - he’s not a bad player just not a great one either.

 

Kinda where I am on him too, haven't seen a great deal of him yet though so still time for him to impress.

 

I think he looks an intelligent player but in an attacking sense it just isn’t coming off for him yet. His pass for Maeda for the Oh offside goal was a beauty and the run he made for the pulled back corner was clever but the shot was poor after.

It’s still early and he hasn’t had a lot of game time hopefully he kicks on. However, time will tell if he isn’t getting much game time ahead of Holm and Turnbull with Hatate to come back it will be interesting to see what would happen with his loan move come Janaury.

It was a tough ask for him tonight, but again he didn't really do anything.

There's no real reason for him to he ahead of Turnbull or Holm. Turnbull offers goals and Holm is far quicker than Bernardo.

He's not exactly poor, he's just there, I really hope he turns it around but he smacks of a desperation signing from the board to try and appease the fans.

 

Agreed, other than should definitely have been Iwata.
