When Rodgers came back we were filled with * about investment,competing in Europe,not making up numbers blah blah blah.
Its the same * as ever the lack of serious investment at the start of the season leaves us way behind when it comes to Europe.I believe Rodgers and the board came out with that bullshit talk just to get the fans on board with his appointment.

Same * every year and it hurts the same every year.

 

As I said previously, we lost before a ball was even kicked tonight.

We don't have the mentality, quality, or the manager in place to succeed in Europe. It's as simple as that.

It doesn't matter, though. I already had this down as zero points before a ball was kicked. Sure, the scoreline is awful, but with the red, it was always on the cards. This game was never what our campaign would hinge on.

What's much more damaging is the current score in the other game. Desperately need an equaliser.

In the last 15 or so years we have suffered more hammerings in Europe than in all of our previous European ties up till then I believe. Only the 5-1 loss to Neuchatel Xamax sticks in my mind before that as a really heavy loss. We may have lost to teams who were far better than us in the past but we were never humiliated by the scoreline as we have been in recent times. The sad thing is a lot of supporters now accept 5/6 goal hammerings as nothing out of the ordinary.
