He has been playing regularly for the B Team this season. He wasn’t playing yesterday though so may have a knock or something?

Matthew Anderson has been doing well in Austria and I actually wonder if he was still around if he would have got a chance by now as he is a bit older than frame and been thought of as a big talent too.

 

It's a shambles that Rodgers doesn't feel able to rest him because our other option there (Bernabei) is so bad.

As others have said, Palma would benefit massively from a quick, overlapping full back playing behind him.

 

Nice one, keep thinking Taylor is good enough to start every game for us while playing 90 minutes every week.

The sly digs are pathetic. More concerned about getting a wee chuckle from others on here with the same delusions than Celtic actually progressing.

Taylor has been poor this season, especially in Europe. That isn't even really debatable. He practically cost us 2 goals vs Atletico and gets targeted time and time again by european and domestic opponents alike. I wonder why?

He's genuinely a poor defender and other than semi-decent build up play in the middle of the park, does absolutely nothing going forward either.

So yeah, he needs replaced in January. Preferably by someone who can defend, is strong, has decent pace and who can support the attack sufficiently.

He's fine for domestic games but in Europe he gets targeted and there is a clear reason why. I think LB has to be our main priority in Jan.

 

He also gets targeted in our domestic games. Practically every team fire long high balls towards of LB position and Bernabei was also targeted in the few games he played there. The majority of us have been saying the exact same on this forum since KT left which is shocking.

 

Can sort of get away with it in domestic football though but for us to grow as a team GT needs to be second choice

Generally most games he must be close to being player with highest number of touches and passes completed.

In just shows how stats can be misleading bcoz he must have the lowest number of forward passes and pack passes every game.

Always plays it safe to pad his stats.

Was a point tonight where Palma made a great run in behind their full back and 10 - 15 yard pass was on, bit risky but doable. Instead he knocks it back 20 yards to Scales for another successfully completed pass.
