He's the best copy and paster I've ever came across to be fair to the lad. It's appreciated don't get me wrong, but play to your strengths and all that.

At the moment, there is only circumstantial evidence. I don't know why they haven't clarified it and I really wish they would. Maybe you are right: and if you are, I won't defend them; but I need to see some solid evidence before I'll believe that. For now, I just think it's more likely that they just screwed up and completely misinterpreted what was happening.

The link between the Palestinian solidarity movement and the Irish Republican activists would perhaps also play a part. I don’t think he would approve of innocent civilians having their land stolen and seeing them butchered.

I agree, but you seemed to be doubting the veracity of him declaring himself a supporter of Zionism, which I struggled to believe at first myself to be fair. But there it is...

I was doubting that he “Wouldn’t like us now as he would likely support Israel.” We need to bear in mind, that the political landscape has changed dramatically since his time. Especially with the Israel/Palestine situation.

You kind of instigated it and I’ve not seen much cohesiveness from you either. He contributes a * of a lot more than most and that includes us. There’s people in here that don’t have twitter or social media and this is how they get updates. Nobody else can be arsed to post them, but he does and it’s for the benefit of everyone else. So don’t be a *.

I’m not sticking up for him, I’m doing exactly what you did and calling you out for something, specifically for starting something and then greeting about it.

You’ve got previous for sticking up for the board. It seems strange and people can rightly question that or get * off by it considering the current situation.

You're post was, verbatim, 'Michael Davitt would support Israel :56:'

Seems to me like you're moving the goal posts. Not unheard of tbf.

I don't really understand what point you're trying to make by pressing this. So he had a good understanding of certain injustices that already existed at that time that made Zionism seem like a reasonable movement but couldn't possibly understand certain other injustices that would follow from Zionism in the future, OK. I don't see the how it follows from this that if he were here today and had access to all the information and could see how it all played out, he would have the same opinion.

It's entirely reasonable for TT to surmise that he would support Israel based on support for Zionism at that time and equally reasonable for Murphy to find that idea ridiculous based on his general political values, because since we can't actually bring him here, how can we ever really know?

I instigated it? By saying most people don't a * if The Bhoys left after 10 minutes? Guess what, most people don't. They're an irrelevance in the grand scheme of things.

Got called a *, tried to laugh it off with a friendly jibe about getting to bed for school the morra, to then get called a 'soup taking *'. And you're trying to dig me for giving the * a bit back?

Honestly mate, get out his *. I know he does a lot of brilliant stuff for this site, I interact with him on a regular basis and have told him plenty of times his keeping us all up to date is much appreciated. But if he can't discuss things like an * I'll happily oblige.

And I know I probably come across as 'sticking up for the board', but it's frustrating watching huge amounts of people hitting out with the same boring old * constantly, so I try to give a bit of balance and remind people that they have not the faintest idea how to run a football club. There are things that none of us could fathom how to navigate if we were in that position yet still we are happy to * all over the people trying to hold everything together against the tide and try make our club successful.

It's selfish as * mate, and it makes me cringe like * watching people talk as if they were directing events at the GPO on 24th April 1916.

It's not a mistake, though. It's an opinion about something essentially unknowable.

So bored of all this *. GB, the board etc.

Most people go to Celtic Park to watch a game of football and that’s all they give a * about. The rest of this nonsense is draining.

Time will tell ..They won't ban them. Good business means winning football matches. If parkhead becomes quiet, we could lose football matches which is bad for business.

It’s a snide comment to someone you obviously have an issue with. There’s a few wee lassies in this forum who treat it like a school playground and feel the need to make wee demeaning comments at any opportunity. It’s really embarrassing cos it’s predominantly grown men in here.

Something happened tonight and we were updated on it. So * if you don’t care.

“Get out his *” then you go on to agree with me? You’re confused. You used it against him then you’re saying its appreciated?

Saying that nobody has a clue how to run a football club is such an empty, nothing comment btw. Nobody has ever said they’d do a better job.

What this ultimately comes down to is the values of the club and this board going away from those values. It comes down to hypocrisy and the cherry picking of when to get political and when to show support. Ukraine good, Palestine bad. It’s the lack of communication and dialogue with all fans not just the GB. They openly do it when times are good but not when times are tough and they could look bad. This is the tip of the iceberg and I’m not even talking about football matters.

It’s exhausting and they put themselves in these positions. I’m on neither side, the board nor GB. Both * me off. Both make it about them, it’s a * swinging contest every week.

You want to talk about what's embarrassing? I'd say backing a bunch of wee guys running riot, with no thought of what issues for the club it's causing, is pretty embarrassing. Especially from supposedly grown men.

His updates on here are besides the point, it's the fact he, like so many others, likes to blindly follow the herd yet gives precisely zero insight as to why, only witless soundbites and attempted insults.

No nobody says they'd do a better job but by * a lot of people come across as believing they would. * UEFA and their hypocrisy, we'll do what we want when we want and they can suck it up. But am afraid it doesn't work like that, the suits pulling the strings at the club are charged with keeping things on an even keel and making progress. How many of these idiots shouting 'sack the board' have the faintest idea what that even entails? Ignorant, selfish * mate. I don't give a * if that upsets people, it's the truth.

And I'm of the opinion that political expression in the stadium is absolutely legitimate and acceptable. If all or some of the board members disagree, fine. They are entitled to that opinion, which would in fact be in line with a lot of ordinary fans. But to suggest they are trying to stamp it out due to their own personal opinions is, imo, wide of the mark. They know fine well a lot of fans will have strong political views, and will turn a blind eye when they can. But when they are under scrutiny they will make sure to be seen to comply, as is their duty as company directors.

It is exhausting, and there has to be an end to it one way or the other. The prospect of which is not being helped by immature comments about soup takers and bootlickers. * like that will only ever be addressed with contempt.
