Firstly i fully support palestien over isreal but it was the GB banner thats been the tipping point.

Lets not kid ourselves the board will look at the next few weeks and if the atmosphere is good whats to stop them giving the GB an ultimatum "play by our rules or your banned".

I dont want this to happen but looking from a buisness point of view we have a waiting list and the GB have prime seating at parkhead. Whats to stop the board from banning those fans and next season reselling that allocation

Maybe in a world where everything is black and white and a binary decision.

The fact is people have different opinions, and most of those opinions will probably sit somewhere between “the board are *” and “the green brigade need to go”.

I love what they bring for the most part, but there are things I won’t condone (the resistance banner, constantly taking the * with pyro, recent behaviour around the turnstiles and fire exits etc.) The board themselves aren’t blameless in this, but let’s not pretend that it’s one-sided and that people critical of the Green Brigade must not go to games. It’s just not true and there are far more diverse opinions within the wider support than some people think.

Barely anyone is defending the board it's not as cut and dry as taking one side against the other some of the points raised by the board are spot on but I still think they're *. I don't think the GB have the universal backing of the support within the stadium they maybe once had at least in my experience anyway

Well a sizeable chunk of the support against atletico seemed on board with the palestine display. So I can't imagine the * online that have been applauding their removal were in attendance unless they were sitting in silence like wee cowards.

You're absolutely right. I've been following Celtic for 40 years and I would say it's been much harder for us to attend games in the past 10 ...but I remember the times without the GB as do a great many others. I never imagined that the discussions around going to the game would be all about the behaviour of a supporters group. I don't have any time for the board and constantly lament about their not signing what we need but I remind myself that they're not as emotionally invested as the fans as ultimately it is a business. The GB will never be able to desanitize it no matter what they do.

A good chunk of the support were in favour of the Atletico display, myself included. That doesn’t change any of the other stuff though.

It doesn’t mean I can’t recognise that they’re behaving like fools in other areas, and it doesn’t excuse the neddy behaviour we’ve seen from both of the ultras groups at recent games.

Most can see both the good and the bad. I don’t have to be entirely on board with every single thing that they do, just because I agree with them on certain issues and enjoy some of what they bring.

If part of the board’s issue is the Atletico game they should be banning 10,000 of us not 200. Also they maybe want to have a look at their security, if thousand of Palestinian flags could be snuck in I would suggest their security is pish. Actually at the time I thought fair play to the board they’ve turned a blind eye and allowed this but seems not. Only thing I disagree with if true is trying to open fire exits to let ticketless fans in.

Just as an aside the Green Brigade themselves are only a couple of hundred strong, there’s many in the area who maybe claim to be GB but aren’t. Have met a decent proportion of the Green Brigade and yes they have strong beliefs but they aren’t neds

See that's the wrong attitude to take. I would surmise that most people go to the game to watch the football and enjoy the atmosphere around that. I personally never went for any other reason than that. I loved some of the GB displays and it made it more fun. We see enough horror in news and my every sympathy is with the Palestinian people. I would suggest some people might go to the football to escape that for a while.

Using that logic the vast majority thought the banner the week prior was poorly thought out was everyone in the stadium cowards then as well ?

I agree the board are * and this has all came about through the Palestine display but it doesn't make the GB automatically right on absolutely everything they do. There seems to be this weird line drawn in the sand where you have to be a GB defender of everything or you're a board lover when the reality is that most are somewhere in between. The board are * for firstly the actual running of the club transfers etc and also with the sheer hypocrisy of the no politics schtick of the last few weeks.

The GB initial banner was very poorly worded and timed and has not been properly explained by them since. They also have been warned countless times about pyro yet it still happens and on top of that this breaking in stuff which they essentially admit to in their own statement.

There are wrongs on both sides for me so drawing lines of division there really will be no winners they need to get in dialogue and sort the issues.

I doubt anyone has a problem with them waving the Palestinian flag.

More so the ‘Victory to the Resistance’ hours after Israeli citizens, including kids and elderly women, were slaughtered or kidnapped.

It looked like a celebratory statement, glorifying the deaths of innocents, which they then deliberately avoided clarifying in their statement.

People can’t attend games for many different reasons. Health, finances, work commitments, family, their location.

Doesn’t make you a better person than them or your opinion more valuable.

I don't believe the ban is for anything else other than the palestine display. They have been doing things like pyro etc for years but only now when they show support for palestine are they all banned. Its highly sus.

Also if it is for things like pyro and "neddy behaviour" it's not eveey single one of them. Is it right to ban an entire section indefinitely from using season tickets that they've paid for? Not for me.

I agree with everything you say but the higlighted part. The board will win. The GB are ultimately going to overestimate their importance to the board. I don't see the GB or the board backing down. The losers will be the crowd for a while at least.

I agree the Palestine stuff is essentially the straw that has broken the camels back but it still doesn't excuse everything else that has gone on. The display pre Atletico there is zero wrong with other people may disagree that's up to them but the initial banner I think most can agree is very poorly worded and timed and again has never been explained so I can absolutely understand why the club need to take action on that front.

There will be some in our support who outright disagree with the GB on everything similar to way some seem to defend them over everything but I think even the staunchest defenders of the GB could admit the last couple of weeks could have been handled a whole lot better by them

GB had been warned by club so knew what would happen...its there own fault as no one is bigger than the club...Fans fed up talking bout GB behaviour and listening to their politics instead of supporting team

Totally agree mate but the two * i mentioned seem to defend the plc to the hilt

Then you’ve got certain people who have friends in the boardroom.
