I'm a big admirer of the GB. Love the show they put on, and consider myself "politically aligned" with their views on social and geopolitical issues.

HOWEVER, in the past few years there's been a real Ned element to them. Flares don't bother me personally, but if I'm an asthmatic , paying through the nose to see my team abroad I wouldn't be a happy clapper.
The "firedoor break-ins" is merely nit picking contrariness from the club, but I also don't agree with it.

The "flag" incident is a step too far though. We can argue all day about the proscription of "terrorist" groups all day, but it was just stupid of them, and indeed insensitive. It was just controversy for the sake of controversy.

The irresponsible Ned element need either weeded out, or guided better on how to represent themselves.

The club themselves have once again embarrassed themselves. This Tory boy attitude of telling Celtic fans what's good for them needs to stop. A dialogue should have been opened with a representative of the club, Rodgers per se, or even Nicholsen, to bring these issues under control and find a way forward with compromise and shared goals.

    It's embarrassing all around.

FFS, man, turn your TV on - there’s war-crimes being committed by Israel every day of the * week. If what’s happening isn’t ethnic-cleansing then it’s the next best thing. You talk about “nuance” - ironically your own post/view seems to lack it in spades.

The duration of the ban will be approximately as long as the Israel-Palestine conflict is in the news. Storm in a teacup.

Im shocked how there seems to be a HUGE majority in favour of this descision. Not here but on social media it is like 90% positive.

I think they are annoying pricka, but they generate a good atmosphere. Hope that continues in the standing without them.

It's a football stadium and I wanna see football. The support the GB give is excellent but there are more lil neds now than ever within it. Your opinions/ political feelings should not be Integrated into a football match
    just my opinion.

Problem is that if it wasn’t for the political climate and sectarianism in play in late 19th century Celtic may not even have existed.

I know m8. But I just want to see a match . If I wanna see rallies or political marches I would go and see them. I Bet they people on marches or so wouldn't want a 90 minute match shown ( if huns match 99mins) during their speeches in george Square or so

Think what it's gonna take to sort this is as follows:

The GB representative goes in for a meeting.

The club agree that flying the flag of Palestine is legitimate and acceptable.

GB rep accepts that implied support for terrorist groups is unacceptable.

Club provides specific details of safety issues to be adhered to.

GB rep calls a group meeting and provides ultimatum to members; respect the health and safety requirements or you're out of the group.

The Green Brigade need to be actively protecting their interests if they want to restore their reputation. You can't have folk causing mayhem as part of a group without taking responsibility for it.

Will probably rumble on for a number if weeks but these things will need dealt with if there's to be a satisfactory outcome.

The board are happy to use GB tifos etc when it suits them to make money off of merchandise! The board are a shower of tory rats and whoever agrees with the decision to ban them is just as bad.
The club is built on political views and this is a very strong feeling among the Celtic fanbase that the Palestinian people deserve to be free. Expressing it at the football is more than fair
