I honestly wouldn’t stress over the result - everyone knew what would happen, but everyone also knew who won the event - and it’s wasn’t the guy being put on his * by a novice in the sport.

Fury has always been a huge talent but an utter bullshitter. In my entire time following boxing, I’ve never seen a fighter receive so much credit for hypothetically winning fights he never even bothered to take.

He’s cooked after that. The media will hammer him for that until the end of time. That gold plated legacy smashed to pieces for a few quid and a load of booze.

Totally agree, he lost the first McDermott fight without a shadow of a doubt.

If that wasn't a defending champion then the Wallin fight gets stopped. I'd imagine it would be the same if it was the likes of a Canelo at Vegas defending all his belts with a big cut.

I was Fury's biggest fan in 2017, 2018 etc when he was 28 stone, I knew he would come back and shake up the heavyweight division, had countless arguments about it with my mates.

But even I've went off Fury recently, he just comes across as a bit of a *, he talks too much * now, and contradicts himself all the time.

I feel sorry for proper boxers who have went through the grueling * platform and slugged their way to becoming professional to build up to big pay day fights.

It was over when I saw KSI vs Paul, two youtube * as the main event when at the time world champions like Billy Joe Saunders was an undercard. Absolute * joke.

It's like me and my mates game of 5s on a Wednesday night being on sky sports main event and Celtic vs Atletico being on BBC alba.

The annoying thing about Fury is he has it in his locker to step it up and beat anybody in the division.

I haven't ever bought Usyk as a heavyweight. Fantastic cruiserweight yes, but I have yet to be convinced by him in all his heavyweight bouts, he was good against Joshua in the first fight, but Joshua looks like somebody has swapped him for a lookalike.

I felt like Usyk had a hard time against Chisora, a tough night against Dubois who I don't rate, and even that was controversial.

I will be cheering for Usyk vs Fury but I can't see him laying much of a glove on Fury, Fury know all about Usyk, how hungry he is, and how he's not here to * about. But who knows, Fury just seems like a money hungry * these days, maybe he's had his day.

Watching that again in the morning and I’m still baffled how fury was awarded that. What kind of example does it set for anyone wanting to risk it in the ring?

Even the 90s heavyweights mate. That was some division and much much better than it is now. You had Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, Holyfield, big George Foreman, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Razor Ruddock even big Frank Bruno. Any one of them I think would be heavyweight champ in this day and age pretty easily

Its his dad that * me right off. He wasnt even a good heavyweight when he boxed. There is 2 Youtube fights avaiiable featuring John Fury and he gets knocked clean out in both of them. He's now living off his son's fame and has become a liability for the Fury camp I believe. I know its all for show a lot of it. But I actually think he believes his own hype.

Aye John Fury was a dog * boxer.

He had about 13 fights or so and only won 8.

Talks as if he's Rocky Marciano. He's just a fat *

Amazing what perception creates. Fury won the fight because the judges scored the contest as they should have, it was close but he was the winner.

If Ngannou was a boxer the hullabaloo wouldn’t exist but because he outperformed what even the most optimistic observer expected he was a perceived winner when in reality Fury won the boxing match. Barely but he won all the same.

Is he fighting Usyk in December or what??? If not he should vacate the title. You cant take exhibition fights to make yourself a fortune....not sanctioned by any of the governing bodies and then make excuses why you cant take a mandatory title defence when you are supposed to. Either defend the title or vacate the title

The thing that bothers me is the 96-93 card. If that was a 95-94 then I’d totally get it.

No chance he is. Guys a complete bull-* and has been for years.

I hope to see Ngannou in the ring again and mix it up with some other top heavyweights. If I’m Usyk, I would be very keen on that fight. You would fancy your chances of boxing the head off him, but his performance against Fury has definitely legitimatised him as a boxer.

I don’t think his performance can be praised enough. Usually in these crossover fights the boxer is giving up something to make at least sell the idea of a competitive fight. Mayweather gave up a lot of size, age and activity for instance. There wasn’t really anything that Fury gave up last night - more active, naturally bigger guy, same sort of age…Ngannou really looked the part.

Folk have waited a long, long, long time for a reason to jump on Fury and even now it’s off the back of a win :56:

Eddie Hearn has had a hard on since Saturday with his AJ Tourette’s.

The Gypsy King remains the undefeated lineal heavyweight champion of the world.
