He'll never make it here. His game hasn't improved one bit. Shame obviously as I want all our players to succeed, but I think we need to sell him.

 

Same problem he's always had. His decision making is woeful. 9 times out of 10 he chooses the wrong option.

He can beat a man but that's about it. Does * all once he beats him

 

The problem with that is that Palma has had more decent appearances than MJ has... And he's only been here two months.

I'd say that was fair. First 10 mins he was on he looked rank. When he settled down he started playing well and looked the most likely to create something.

 

I like Mikey and always have. I still think there is a serious player there. A proper run in the team and I think he would be brilliant. Unfortunately it seems literally no one else agrees so maybe I am talking *

 

Had potential.....in Rodgers first stint.
Injuries etc hamperd his progression but just don't see him doin much here.
I would honestly have had Yang on before MJ and firrest today

He doesn't like MJ. Never misses an opportunity to slag him. Don't blame him, I want shot of him an aw.

 

At one point, he tried to take on Miller despite the latter not leaving much space to Mikey. Yet, he went at him, and was dispossessed. I thought to myself: "If I was there, I'd have praised Mikey openly for trying that." Wingers aren't meant to "check their run if it's not on". They are meant to keep trying until they get through!

Move the guy on, we have far too many projects in this club, he has been here long enough to make his mark and it has never happened, very unlucky with injuries but we are not a charity.

 

Don’t understand how people think there is still a player there, feel like this is always the case when the player is a celtic fan or came through the youth that people cant just accept they are not good enough to be anywhere near our squad, MJ should have been punted years ago.

 

Would need a real run in the side to show wot he can do ,never really had a chance to settle in and this is the problem ....too desperate to prove himself and on the other hand do we have the patience to allow a player to settle in when we have plenty cover and can't afford to carry anyone until they can , I like him and feel he could come good with a goal or two and would kick on after tbh ,understand why many have given up .

 

At this point just let him go on loan. If he can produce consistently at a Hibs or Aberdeen then maybe but we cant and shouldn't give him enough minutes.

 

James Forrest and Mikey Johnston still playing for Celtic in 2023 is * poor.

 

Didn't see the game but going on the comments it didn't sound too good but as some posters have said he's just back from injury.

Hard to see him every being a regular here
