Mad how we'll almost certainly get a fine for last night while the Madrid freaks had literal fascist propaganda banners in their end and not a word has been said.

I'm not sure about that, mate. I think most of the support is just parking the issue of the banner for now because of what we're seeing in Gaza every day now. If and when the worst is finally over, that will be the time to talk about that banner. It's simply not about the GB right now. Christ, I'd temporarily get behind the Union Bears (if it's still a thing) if they were doing this right now, let alone the GB.

I do get your concerns about the banner. They definitely need to be pressured to clarify that. FWIW, if it does turn out that they were supporting HAMAS on the day of the terror attack and they were banned for it, I wouldn't type a single character in protest. But all that is for later.

Seeing photos of a popular front flag at the game I know UK didn't regonise them as a terrorist organisation at the time but a few other countries did .
This will be more bad publicity for the club and can see the board losing patience with the GB .

Popular front? As in the coalition who helped fight Franco and fascism in the Spanish Civil war? Are we as a club supposed to be in support of fascism and suppression.

Exactly, because while uefa have an issue with waving a Palestinian flag seemingly - Yes we all get that hypocrisy - the rest of us have no problem in holding up Palestinian flags as a sign of support for them in the face of, previous and current, brutality from the Israeli government. However unfurling a banner praising the resistance when that is most definitely linked to hamas is utterly abhorrent.. as is the attempts, by some, to downplay the gb doing that. We all know the gb are smart enough to have known what they were doing. This is a group who unfurled probably the best, most concise, banner I have ever seen in my life - Sands/Wallace.
This banner was insightful, thought provoking, highlighted a very real question, made folk question what they had previously thought etc, in short it was * brilliant and was put together by individuals who clearly had good intelligence and a very firm understanding on how to get a point/view across.
So you simply do not go from this level to that banners content accidentally. They have also had ample opportunity to have clarified any 'error' in the banner when they later released that statement... instead they went for the elitist tory board waffle, although some have actually bought into that pish as well. Deary me.

What we are seeing in Gazza every day now should be condemned and is being. However we also have ample time to also condemn that banner, its as simple as that mate. You are right this shouldn't be about the gb but they have chosen to ram themselves, and dragging us, directly into this by their choices/actions, so waiting 6 months or a year etc to discuss it seems utterly pointless/a cop out to me. If I was to follow this advice, tbh, then I would feel by ignoring it Im actually kind of condoning it and that is something I simply will not do or be a part of.
When something needs called out/condemned that needs to happen immediately, not when its convenient ffs RR.

End of the day fly the Palestinian flag but that should be it this just will bring trouble to the club and this movement was responsible for hijacking planes and suicide attacks and it seems some Celtic supporters are ok with this I dispair.

Not sure what you are talking about in all honesty.

I'm only aware of groups by that name that relates to fighting fascism in the 1930's - 50's.

    Happy to be corrected.

Genuine question here for our supporters across the water what’s your thoughts on this Considering the Amount of PLO/Fattah murals I’ve seen whilst visiting Belfast etc. although I still don’t know what Flag the debate was over was it a genuine Al Qassam Brigade flag?

Hamas May control Gaza but it’s my understanding the West Bank is still under control by Fattah.

It's the logo of the PFLP

Popular Front for the Libertation of Palestine.

Second largest member of the PLO (but opposes Oslo and the 'two state-solution' and has since then been boycotting PLO functions), famous in the 70s for aircraft hijackings. They did have lots of links with Stalinist militants around the world (and the USSR), such as Japanese Red Army (Ben Gurion airport attack) and German Revolutionary Cells (Entebbe raid).

Since the end of the Cold War and Oslo agreements they have been a weaker group.

So very very proud of this club.

Once again we will eventually be shown to be on right side of history.

Standing up for what is right and to * with the consequences.

We've seen it before with Match the Fine. The glimmer of hope such small gestures give to the people of Palestine that the whole world hasn't forgotten them cannot be downplayed.

    FREE PALESTINE.

I don't want to be ageist (I'm not young myself!) and plenty of older people are very clued up; but that avatar screams "I get my worldview from western MSM."
