Yeah was very surprised it was him and not Iwata that came on and even then towards the end surprised Iwata didn't come on to replace him when he tired.

    Definitely a player

He'll take some time to get up to speed, a midfielder with his frame always does. Same with Mooy and Rogic.

I've seen enough to know there's potential there, just hope he gets a wee run now to show it.

Think when he’s match fit he is going to offer us something different.

Think he looks tidy and classy but a bit slow and kinda stiff hopefully that's just due to lack of game time though.

The thing I don’t get is why he has seen such limited minutes domestically but gets on constantly in CL. Likely will get a chance now, if Hatate is injured. He showed good work rate and ball winning which isn’t meant to be his game.

Hopefully getting a run in the team will let him show his playmaking skills as he was very safe with his passing particularly near the end hen we tried to break them down but he didn’t have much to hit in front of him.

He wasn't bad yesterday, but I thought he was fairly quiet, not the worst thing considering he was thrown in against Atletico Madrid.

If Hatate's out again, it's a big chance for him to shine.

Aye it always amazes me how people view games differently.

Just because he didn't have tonnes of the ball doesn't mean he had a bad game. He surprised me with his work rate and physicalty tbh I thought he was going to be more of a luxury player.

Lacks a bit of pace perhaps but certainly doesn't stop him getting about the park. Other young players would have crumbled being thrown on in that scenario.

    Like him so far.

What was your view on Paulo Bernardo?

He looked a little bit leggy in the game today. But this intensity is new for him. He has to get through it. He did well in the week coming into such a high-level game. He worked hard and did well today but the plan was always to give him an hour and take it from there.

Looks decent enough, hasn't shown many moments that make you think "wow" though.

Still early days, I think the potential is there. But I'm more excited by Holm so far who should be getting more of a look in.

His willingness to graft has surprised me, based on nothing more than his nationality and where he came from. Which in retrospect is daft.

I used dogged for his performance against Atletico and it looks like that’s his style in general.

He has a great touch and range of passing, too.

    Typical Portuguese.

I reckon he'll be class after a run of games and I think we'll try convince him to stay.

Im not as convinced. He did okay, but given at times he was effectively playing the 10 position for us, i dont feel as if he did enough in the final third.

He did work hard, but we need more from an attacking midfielder at celtic.
