Wasn’t his best performance defensively but their right hand side was highlighted as their danger area.

I don’t think it was as bad a performance as the apparent hysteria.

He is a man down at CL level it's clear as day. Good guy and a great squad member but shouldn't be starting for us in Europe.

We should actually play 3-5-2 to leave him less exposed.

Think he is at fault for the goals but played well generally. We do need better I think as he gets targeted

    Weak link..

Can't play overlapping full backs when he has no ability to go past a man and is one paced.

Garbage. The biggest danger in that instance was the man with the ball. Forget the runner, because if Taylor goes for the ball after Bernardo gets a toe on it, he wins the ball. It’s poor decision making from him.

He was involved in 3 goals tonight unfortunately 2 were their 2 goals. Great ball for our 2nd to Maeda but defensively found wanting all night. His lack of pace and strength are a major issue at this level. The penalty was school boy stuff letting the boy get a run on you then trying to poke a leg in from the wrong side. The second one he is hesitant which probably comes from the first and being worried about his man getting a run on him again. However, that had to be go all in to take the ball and if you don’t get there take the man and the booking as he hadn’t been booked yet at that point.

Teams target him all the time and he is very much a weak link in the team at that level.

I don't think he was horrendous but at key moments again there's question marks.

They didn't get much change out of Johnston, most of anything that did happen came down our left side.

I think regardless of anything it's clear we need to upgrade.

It’s not a coincidence that most games in Europe, teams seem to target his side.

Bah. he's got a split second after seeing how the tackle affects the ball to decide what to do in a complex situation. A high-pressure decision as well: a team like that, if you dive in and don't make it, it's a goal and a card.

It was the wrong decision, but I really don't think it's a bad error or anything.

Did/do you play football? Genuinely. Because anyone who has at a decent level will know that Taylor should have been going for that ball after Bernardo gets a toe in. He actually starts to go for it then is indecisive and backs off. The main danger was the man with the ball, as was shown.

It’s a split second decision that a better player gets right. That’s the problem. He has to go and engage with the man with the ball. He is favourite to win it.

I feel it's harsh to dig him out tonight but he is the glaring weak spot in the side that should have been sorted in the summer

Yeah, I mean, we all wanted an upgrade and didn't get one. It is what it is. Sure, a really good defender gets that right; but for me it's not a terrible error or anything and anyway, maybe a really good defender doesn't play those passes going forward. And if they can do both, how long will they stay at Celtic?

He's doing alright considering the level.

Was poor in defence tonight, as he is in pretty much every CL game. I don't blame him for it, he's just not up to that standard.
