I just wish we played like we did in the first half, better decisions in the dugout would've seen us win that game imo.

 

Would have like to have seen Iwata for Bernardo/O'Reily and maybe Oh for Kyogo but do kinda get the Forrest one for on the break.

 

You can't do that. You can't put that much energy into a game for 90 minutes. How many times have we been naive and been picked off over the years? This is our best CL result since Anderlecht and our best home result since Man City. You ought to be buzzing.

 

That Atleti side is in top form.. 7 wins out of 9 in the league.

 

Imagine if we'd got the draw we deserved against Lazio.

 

BR showed his football intelligence tonight. He knew we’d struggle 2nd half and made the substitutes to suit the game.

 

A draw is basically meaningless though, don't you understand that? We had an extra man on the park for the last 15 minutes. If we got a third goal at any point in the second half, the game was won.

Anyway, hopefully the first half performance can give us more confidence for the remaining 3 games. It's virtually an impossible task still, but there's a miniscule glimmer of hope we can do it.

It seems clear Feyenoord and Atletico will fight it out for first and second and it's between us and Lazio for 3rd. Lazio got really lucky in their first two games with those late goals and their luck has put us in a tough position. We're getting nothing in Madrid; but Lazio in Rome and Feyenoord at home are games we should be looking to compete in. We won't be favourites for either but they are both doable.

 

Would like to see us increase our fitness levels, Getting tired after 60 mins I'd say was the difference between winning that game and not.

Another step towards me loving him again tonight, he’s definitely changed as a man and has the best interests of Celtic at heart now. Set us up perfectly in the first half, second half was typical Celtic fashion, can’t blame him at all.

 

It's not meaningless at all. We're fighting it out for 3rd with Lazio and this means we've matched the result they got in Rome (except their draw was lucky and ours was deserved). It means 3rd is still possible.

I understand what you’re saying but we were getting there last year as well. That’s the frustrating thing. Don’t really think BR is to blame for that though as he wasn’t backed properly in the summer.

 

But we then had literally nothing with the formation change. We at least know with the 433 that we can create and score. If Taylor is playing that horribly, move Scales across and sub play CCV and Phillips.

Experience counts for nothing when you are simply not good enough anymore. Forrest is an empty jersey, you know for a fact that he will bring absolutely nothing now.

Everything he done was golden tonight except forrest. However who else has he got? Yang? We're missing abada big time. More than pleased tbh. Out played a team that by all accounts should be looking towards the later stages. Give him the funds (and a good scout to spend them) and we can actually so things.
