Does he lack the fear factor that Ange has? Is that the difference?
Can he get the same as Ange got out the players?

When he talks about the difficulty of competing at this level due to finances, I'd love for a journalist just once to ask him why we stocked up on projects and subpar "talent" from the continent, instead of pushing the boat out for a couple of signings with proven quality and/or experience.

Not a dig at Rodgers btw. But hearing about our lack of finances when other teams of similar stature and monetary recourses routinely out-perform us is tiresome.

Maybe someone at the AGM will grow a pair and ask these questions. They need answering.

If it's not a dig at Rodgers then what's the * point of asking him?

Lack of finances yet we are sitting with a fortune in the bank. Until we give ourselves the best chance to make a mark in Europe, the lack of finances excuse doesn’t cut it to be honest.

Yeah, I agree, and yet the question needs asked, but it’s not up to the press: it’s for shareholders to hold this board’s feet to the fire come AGM time.

He's the manager isn't he? Do you not want these questions answered? Some transparency would be nice.

Ultimately, Desmond, Lawwell etc. should be grilled. But Rodgers is the only relevant conduit at this moment in time.

I'm just bored of hearing the same old *. Once again these should be addressed at the AGM, but I highly doubt it.

BRENDAN RODGERS is out to rewrite his own history at Celtic after claiming his previous success was “erased” by supporters.

The Northern Irishman won seven trophies during his illustrious first spell at Parkhead, but fans turned on him after he quit for Leicester City in 2019.

Rodgers is aiming to end Celtic’s ten-year wait for a home win in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid.

And he is desperate for European and domestic glory again to fully repair his relationship with the Hoops support.

Rodgers said: “For some, I was erased out of the history of the club because of how I left.

“So probably what I did before really hasn’t counted for anything. For me to come back here was to start again and have that hunger and that ambition to win.

“And win in a style that the club and the supporters here have been used to.

“That’s been great for me because I respond to that kind of challenge. I’ve been relishing it from the very first day.

“Step by step, we are getting close to where we want to be.”

Hoops fans chanted Rodgers’ name as his side thumped Hearts 4-1 at Tynecastle on Sunday.

But Rodgers remembers that was the same venue where supporters unfurled a banner which read, ‘You traded immortality for mediocrity — never a Celt always a fraud’ after he quit for Leicester.

Scott Brown skippered the team to the Treble that season under interim boss Neil Lennon, but Rodgers’ exit still left a bitter taste for some.

He said: “Yes, the irony being the last time with the banner at Hearts, but it’s about winning games.

“However long I’m here and whatever we win, everyone may not be onside. That’s OK.

“As long as the team gets the support, that’s really the most important thing. Of course, when you have that connection, like I had the first time when I was here, then it just brings everything together and it’s an amazing feeling.

“If you want to succeed you need that relationship between the supporters, team and manager.

“That’s very, very important and, in the main, the supporters have been great since I’ve come back here.

“I understand why there was a bit of resentment towards me coming back, but it was never going to stop me. I am professional enough in my work to focus on the team.

“And if I can produce a team that excites the fans and we can win things in my time here, then hopefully that can be acceptable.”

Celtic go into the clash with Atletico having lost both of their Group E ties so far.

Rodgers said: “There’s a lot of doubt at this level.

“But I’ll always believe that we can get the results at this level, whether it’s this year or the following year or the following year.

“It’s something we have to strive towards. It’s something I’ll be relentless in trying to achieve.”

It's a pointless question and one that'll be a repeat of a similar question that was asked. He alluded to not being entirely happy with the window, I doubt that's changed in a couple of weeks. Plus asking a manager about signings not being good enough before a difficult match is the type of bait like crap you'd expect from the Sun; imo not the type of doubting we want to see aimed at the squad before a match like this.

This would be a much more appropriate arena for that type of question.

Worst substitutions I've ever seen. Then he makes no attacking changes when we're a man up

Who could we have brought on? Forrest was the best option and he’s *.

Can see why he put Phillips on. We were under mental pressure at the time

Despite some iffy substitutions, we're clearly making massive progress under him.

It's been said a million times now, but games like today and Lazio make it so frustrating he wasn't fully backed in the Summer. I guarantee we have at least 4, maybe even 6 points if he is backed.

Ensured we got least the draw and seemed that he was told to stick to grizeman.
I guess Oh was there but again, he hasn’t done much of late

I think Oh tries too hard, chills out a bit and he could be useful. All he would have done tonight is give away pointless fouls and let them get the pressure off.

Can see why he done it. We just need a stronger bench

Don't switch to a back 3 we've never played before and completely kill our attack for starts. Then sub on your actual striker on the bench to play as striker and not your old past it winger. He could also realise we are a man up and a point is no good for us and make subs to switch back to the 4-3-3 and not just watch the game fizzle out to the inevitable draw
