3) The conclusions you have drawn from the way you described what happened in (1) wouldn't follow if you described things more accurately as in (2).

Well, if you don't agree, tell me why I'm wrong! I only felt confident in saying that your description was incorrect because you refused to back it up when I challenged you! If you think I'm wrong, then reassert it and back it up.

OK, look, chill out. I don't mean to rub you up the wrong way. It's precisely because I know you're not daft that I challenged your assessment rather than just posting that emoji that rolls its eyes.

Honestly, isn't it possible that your initial description isn't really fair on the groups? I know that I'm sometimes unfair if I get angry or I dislike one party or feel threatened by something. Isn't it possible that you aren't immune to these things either (or have some other reason that I can't imagine) and that maybe what happened in this ban isn't necessarily quite what you initially assumed (or at least that we can't know for sure yet that it's what happened)?

Nah...keep pushing for genuine arguments and don't apologise..he often * people off here..he took a right pop at the unvaccinated a while back.. but then he backs off with * like 'in yer element here' = he can't answer your arguments. Keep firing sensible points...win by intelligent debate.

 

I don't know if you're just referring to one specific incident or not mate, but what I said fits perfectly with plenty of incidents over the years. Pulling up detailed quotes and references to satisfy your penchant for semantics ain't what I'm here for.

And I'm not angry, as you inferred. Am just trying to remind people that giving the old 'sack the board' patter is incredibly childish considering the heat the * must take on account of fan behaviour.

It's a fine balance to be struck if things are to go smoothly. Fans wanting the freedom to sing and display political messages...the board having to tow the line in the eyes of authorities.

Seems to me like the groups have no intention of coming to any sort of compromise. Let's not forget there was a time where the GB had direct access to the boardroom, and it all went south. Not sure of the details of that situation tbh, but clearly there was no chance of a middle ground both sides could accept.

So again, if you think the board are the only ones at fault here, then you're in need of a big wake up call.

Am sure it was during Lennon's first stint, they were invited in for sit downs with...certain JP was involved, maybe even Lawwell himself, although not sure on that. But there was definitely a mutual understanding at one time that didn't last very long. Am sure a poster with a better memory than myself can clarify that?

Communication is definitely a major issue, that's why I've long being an advocate for more fan involvement in the running of our club.

I'd be banging that drum more just now myself, but I don't see it working. Your average fan is not goanny be of a mind to dilute their personal views to appease any sort of governing body. It's an extremely delicate balance which is pretty much impossible for the board to navigate.
