Sounds like they're making things up to ban them for the Palestine display.

I personally think that in their view, that kind of banner has the potential to be associated with support for Hamas in the media and they probably think they are protecting the club and the business, which is their job.

If I'm right (admittedly a big if), then the GB are partly to blame for not clarifying the issue and giving the board assurances that they won't have any displays condoning the actions of Hamas or ambiguous displays like the other day.

If I'm wrong and the board just don't want any shows of solidarity with the Palestinians from the away support, then it's entirely on them and I really doubt they will succeed.

 

So does this make the majority of the UK population terrorists? Its some leap to suggest the British army are terrorists.

Nothing out the ordinary at Motherwell, just fans celebrating late goals.. seems the board don't have the balls to say what they mean.

Edit: I see the statement from the club, still seems like an indirect way of punishing them.

Mate, I said in my post I’m all for displays/messages of support for the people of Palestine (which includes Palestinian flags) so we are absolutely in agreement. Was just contributing to the general discussion at the same time & was keen to get Murphy’s thoughts.

 

Everyone is entitled to their beliefs i guess.

The one thing I can't defend them for is the pyro that is a rule and has been for ages and they've had umpteen warnings and the club have a had loads of fines as well. You can disagree with the rule against pyro but that is nothing to do with Celtic or the board. That being said I don't think that statement is saying what the board really mean
