breaking bad I just couldn’t get my head round the pish of a teacher taking on cartel’s, biker gangs etc and gave up

 

Probably Game of Thrones for me with Vikings up there as well.

 

I imagine I’ve gave other answers at different points depending on the mood at the time but tonight, it is Community.

Possibly the only series, the first 3 seasons really, as peerless and unique.


Rick and Morty has some of that sort of magic being Dan Harmon, a genius of a writer and lead on series, who seems like an utter *.

Weird thing loving stuff somebody sheds their heart and soul into but disliking the actual guy.

Never like investing my time in ‘series’ as I am never able to commit the time or attention to them. Much more if a movies man.

That's probably my top 3 as well. Thought Breaking Bad was alright but wasnt as gripping for me, took me years and a few attempts to get through it.

The three you mention are all brilliant though. Lots of the same actors involved. Michael K Williams in all of them, although small part in Sopranos. Angela Darmody in Boardwalk is one of meadow's pals in the Sopranos when she's at university. Vincent Piazza that plays Lucky Luciano in Boardwalk is Ajs pal Hernan. Finn from Sopranos has quite a big part towards the end of Boardwalk etc, there's loads more.

When we were going through Boardwalk the first time my Mrs was getting a bit * off with me going look there's yer one from Sopranos or the Wire, but happened so often.

 

I'm rewatching Breaking Bad again. No other show has ever come close to it, for me.

 

2nd on my all time favourite list. Geniunly loved it and I don't even watch those type of shows.

Nothing beats battle star galactica for me but that's because I'm a space buff

 

I'm like that with space stuff for films. Any aliens or space stuff in a film and I'm pretty much guaranteed to like it.

 

HBO likes to use re-use actors in a lot of their shows because they already have a working relationship with them and know they can rely on them, that's why you see so many actors in more than 1 HBO show

 

Watching SOA again, just onto season 4 now.

Without a shadow of a doubt right up there with the very best shows ever for me. Amazing tv

Geniunly loving halo. Sure if your a halo game boy fan you'll probably question storyline, but as an alien invasion war type program its epic. 4 episodes into season 2. Love it.

Sadly it's a * mess after season 4.

Killing Stahl was a huge mistake. It was very well done though but she was the best antagonist the show had.

 

SoA was so hit and miss. I’d put it in the same category as a Dexter or Walking Dead.
