Can show support for Palestine as I'm sure majority on here do..whilst condemning the attacks.
Was just poor wording for me....even though I 100% agree with the stance

The narrative on the msm will certainly change now that pro Palestinian demos around the globe are picking up (esp in countries whos govts have been pro Israeli) and journalists are being injured/killed/attacked by the idf

I'm utterly convinced this is exactly what Hamas wanted. The more details that come out about what they did, the more it looks like they were pulling out all the stops to ensure they would get this response. IMHO, the fact that it was their deliberate intention to bring this about means they share the responsibility for what is happening with Netanyahu and the IDF. They don't care about ordinary Palestinian people except in the abstract.

So even if we don't want to condemn them for things I'm not going to repeat on here (but we absolutely should condemn them for that!), we should at least condemn them for what they've helped to bring on the people of Gaza.

I'm so glad I grew up in the 90s.

Just imagine, that video will be around for your great grandkids to watch in 60 years time. Dogiest thing I got in the 90s was my mug in the M8 magazine, out my * in the Arches.

The weirdest thing for me is the cops. Why include video footage of cops? I'm genuinely mystified by that. Same with all the cop pictures a few pages back. Just seems weird.

That video would have a totally different vibe if it was mixed with a hard rock / metal track rather than..whatever that was!

That Bhoys video is a hilarious. Kind of sums them up as a group.

    They try, but they’re a bit *.

If I could change one thing about our Ultras, it wouldn't be their daft statements, it'd be the ned music. Forget Israel and Palestine, this is the real campaign. Nae mare ned music in Parkheid.

I think when you see 500 people killed in the bombing of a hospital, of all places, then you absolutely have to show support for the Palestinian people. The GB should have been wise enough to make the distinction between them and Hamas in the first place, because it’s them who are suffering and who will continue to suffer.

As ill-advised as the banner and its timing was last weekend, what Israel is doing at the moment is completely unacceptable, bordering on genocidal, and deserves calling out. Flying a flag in itself won’t do much but international pressure needs placed on the Israeli government and everyone blindly supporting them.

Use the inevitable fine as cause for raising for charity again.

    100%.

What’s happening now is every bit as barbaric as the act carried out by Hamas last week.

Fully on board with a show of support for the people of Palestine now, and I’ve a feeling there may be a strong one. Public sentiment has turned against Israel massively in a short space of time, and it’s fully justified.

If anyone really needs to question whether our fans should be showing solidarity to Palestine now then they have lost their minds.

Yeah, I said that it would be pretty clear to people by the time of the game how much the Palestinians deserve everyone's support, but it hasn't even taken that long. Support for the Palestinian cause is the clear majority position in the world as a whole and according to YouGov, there is almost a plurality in Scotland who sympathise more with "The Palestinian side" (just beaten by a mere 1% by "sympathy for both sides equally" and miles ahead of the small percentage who sympathise mainly with Israel).

Although sympathy for the Palestinians seems clearly stronger in Scotland than other parts of the UK, it is also already the clear majority position among younger people UK-wide and that's only going to grow as this unfolds.

The board are not only on the wrong side of history, the wrong side of world opinion and the wrong side of the Celtic support on this one; they're also on the wrong side of opinion in Scotland and of opinion among young people in the whole UK.

The banner was poorly worded and the timing couldn’t have been worse. They are not the group of humans that should be speaking for us on subjects like this.

But unfortunately they are, hopefully they do things with a bit more thought now and when it comes to supporting Palestine, we should all be right there with them.
