How many people are likely to take a Palestinian flag along? I haven't been to a game since 2001, but I really hope a decent number do. Hopefully at other clubs too. Is this a pipe dream or is it realistic?

I don't know.

This is going to look very different by then, though. Unless a diplomatic miracle happens (and it really would be a miracle) then by the time this football game rolls around, the ground assault will have started and the full horror of this will be becoming apparent. That might change a few minds about things in the UK (apart from maybe some older people who only watch MSM).

I don't know much about military things, but in addition to huge military casualties on both sides, I haven't seen any expert who isn't fearing massive civilian casualties.

 

There’ll be a corner of the stadium with * loads, if they can get them through security anyway. Cos 100% the stewards will be instructed to confiscate any. GB’s announced in advance what they’re doing and it’s something that will get the club in *. But last time something similar happened, there was so much money raised by them with the publicity it made. Believe the target was to donate £9k because that was what we got fined and raised £130k odd. For a bunch of ‘wee uneducated clueless dafties’ as often gets lobbed at them, thats no bad.

There’s a lot of fans that are somewhat jealous of them I think, you always hear the guys that have real vitriol for them bring up ‘they aren’t better fans than me’, and it’s never been something you see them claim. They have * to criticise but that angle I’ve always found just daft

 

I think the bringing as many palestine flags as possible is worth doing even if it meant we had to play a game behind closed doors.

It's only game at the end of the day.

 

They do a lot of great work. But you have to admit....there are smarter ways to get a point across sometimes. There is no need to be intentionally as antagonistic........especially after 1000 civilians were killed.

100% this. Was actually just about to post it in the"trivial things that annoy you thread" as it is always the same */sort of *. They are usually of a similar age, they tend to be totally Hun obsessed ( which is up to them) and can't get that anyone wouldn't be, hence cannot get their braincell around anyone that isn't. They will also come out with stock insults calling the GB "thugs" or "retards" and say they wouldn't even be able to point out Ireland or Palestine on a map while hardly being exactly members of the Brains Trust themselves.

There is some shifting on opinion the longer the Israeli offensive continues. Seen a tweet from a Tory MP of all people, condemning Israel.

 

100% agree with that. I’m * raging at the way they’ve shown support, solidarity with Palestine, condemnation for Hamas is what it should be.
