To be fair, mate, I really think that actually is the main talking point for this thread. Of course it has literally zero importance in comparison with what Hamas and Israel have done and are doing, I'd gladly give the Huns the league if it saved the life of a single Palestinian child, as would you; but I assume there already is a thread for that much more important topic in HP&R. This is Celtic Chat. There's a fair few posts in this thread that I think take a simplistic view of things; but I'm trying (and sometimes failing) not to stray too far from the implications of the banner. I've been assuming the topic is the GB display and what it meant and whether it was justified until a mod explicitly opens it up.

I totally get that mate. The point I’m making is that there are certain posters popped up on this thread to call out the GB but hadn’t been seen in the thread in HP&R. Just seemed like the priority of these people were all wrong in my opinion.

That's fair enough, mate. I'm not in that thread so I didn't know.

Guys a coward, who seems to be taking great pleasure in subtly having a dig at me without actually having the decency to just use the quote function, like any normal individual.

My old man had a relapse of cancer which contributed to me taking time away from here, yet somehow me posting in one of the most to topical threads on this forum at a time when the GB’s banner has made national/international news, is deemed worthy of suspicion and ridicule.

    It’s pathetic, but typical.

You aren’t even the main one that sprung to mind to be honest. There is also plenty others who have done the same. No need to try and make it all about yourself. Couple of times you have done that now.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he is on the mend. Please don’t use that as a way of having a dig against me however, because that is below the belt.

On the decency about using the quote function. If you check back a few pages, you’ll see we were in the middle of discussion and I had asked you a question which you didn’t respond to

I'm sorry about your father's illness. I hope he can beat it again. Emotions are a bit overwhelming on this issue and it's important to treat each other with kindness when we disagree.

Well, except for @Callum McGregor , he deserves everything he gets. :37:

Couldn’t give a * frankly - ‘main one’ or otherwise.

Veiled digs at Celtic fans, for such a bizarre reason as not posting in the absolute * that is the HP&R section but posting here, is bizarre and cowardly.

Have the balls to at least state who you’re * about.

The fact you thought it was purely about you says plenty. I’m not the one creaming myself over a section of our support after jumping to conclusions.

I’ll ask again as you didn’t reply the other day. What statement supported the killing of innocent civilians?

Yet you’ve completely dodged the question as to who it was actually about - as I said, cowardly and pathetic. The show absolutely fits and under different circumstances you’d also be calling out anyone who chose to have a veiled dig at forum members instead of having the balls to speak their mind.

A statement in support of ‘the resistance’ the day after the murder of innocent men, women and children would obviously be interpreted as one is support of that very action. For the GB to then have the opportunity to clarify and dystrophy that it wasn’t, and instead choose not to do so, only reinforces the blatantly obvious.

Just need to read through the thread. You will see the ones who are tripping over themselves to have a dig at the GB after coming to their own conclusions about things. Like yourself :50:.

They probably should have condemned Hamas as I’ve already said since they also spoke about the war crimes Israel are committing. They chose not to for reasons only they know. Does that confirm they agree with what Hamas done? No it doesn’t. You and some others have assumed that it does.

Calm down FFS, neither of you are stupid and neither of you are bad people, so stop treating each other like it. You both (Murphy and KoK) need to take a breath. Nothing important hangs on the other person's point of view. You're both good posters, get back to that.

Support Palestine, * Hamas. This should be the next banner at CP, but after reading that MacBhoy (or whatever) on KDS - I don't think the GB want to clear things up at the moment. I hope Israel wipe Hamas out to * btw but also hope Palestine get the win they deserve (nothing to do with the Hamas thing here)

Yes, I agree; but social media is doing its thing and splitting people into 2 sides and a sane banner like that would satisfy neither side IMO. Social media is pushing people to either ignore the situation of the Palestinian people and delude themselves that Israel is the innocent party on the one hand or refuse to condemn a horrible war crime, promote a cartoon view of the various ways we have ended up here and talk as if all (non-Arab) Israelis are collectively guilty and deserve punishment on the other.
