Going shopping this morning and look what Caroline saw in our garden. A Hummingbird Hawk Moth. She managed to get a wee video of it before it flew away. As much as I hate moths, it was superb to see

Very stealthy fish and is mainly nocturnal. If you look above it there is another fish laying flat on the rock (Hill stream loach)

A few from Sunday morning at Portavade, i went out a bit too early and had to wait for a couple of hours until the tide went out far enough that i could get into a decent spot for a few snaps, I was happy to see a pair of Eider Ducks hanging around as i'd never seen them in the flesh before.

Great pics Johnie. Eider Ducks are stunning birds Johnie. I love the green colour the males have on the faces

Not too sure Johnie but they could be Common Scoter. My learned friend Pete could put you right Johnie. Great pics though

Pretty quiet on the whole in my wee Wildlife world but on Sunday evening i had a good close up in the dark at 11pm of a lovely Badger enjoying the unsalted peanuts and left over beef i out out. And early this afternoon i enjoyed a cool Male Kestrel taking shelter from the rain as me and Ruby Roo got soaked:84:

The oyster catchers are brilliant even though they are noisy wee blighters but generally don’t bother anyone
