Nut..............Ive thought about it and thought about it.....and Ive still come to the conclusion that we should take nothing at all whatsoever to do with what is going on in Palestine.

Like I have said. I doubt very much that any Palestinians are giving a * about the situation in Ireland and the oppressed people there. Or the situation in Scotland where Irish Catholic descendants are also still subjected to monstrosities like Orange walks etc. No Palestinians will have even considered that situation or give a * about it.

I do not see the reason for us as Celtic supporters to be actively supporting any cause in Palestine. It has nothing to do with us. The same as Irish Catholics have nothing to do with them. Where are all the tri-colours in Palestine? Where are they? They are not waving them to show some sort of solidarity with us. They are not interested. I am not saying do not empathize. There is cause to be empathetic. We just shouldnt be showing support for one side of a war that has got zero to do with us as a club or as a people

I appreciate your view hiphop. You have took time to type that. The reason our fans are doing this is for the right reasons. The media are portraying this as a terrorist attack. Israel have been doing worse for years.

So it’s ok just to make up stuff now? In that piece that was written, the person who had wrote it specifically says there was a Shahada flag flying. As far as I’m aware, that’s just made up nonsense. The statement was utter bullshit.

We are already seen as terrorist sympathisers within much of the media and most of Scottish football. Saturday hasn’t just started that.

For the record, I’ve criticised the GB in the past on stuff. In fact, I actually said they probably should have condemned Hamas given they spoke about Israel committing war crimes once I had time to properly read their statement. The hypocrisy that both our board and some of our supporters show is just staggering at times. I’m not aiming that at you by the way.

Support for Palestine goes back to the 80s and beyond.. in Scotland and especially Ireland. Its not a new thing. I'm not saying we support Hamas but there's always been solidarity between us and the people of Palestine. Maybe do a wee bit of research on the subject.

This feels like it has real potential to start affecting what we see on the pitch. The subject is very raw just now and am glad we're not playing for another 2 weeks. Really hope emotions can settle again by the time we play.

All for political displays (within reason) but if it's goanny disrupt the football side of things there has to be common sense applied.

I hadn’t even noticed that before. That changes things to be honest.

They’re not portraying a terrorist attack.

    They’re reporting one.

Soldiers are legitimate targets. Not kids or the elderly.

Talk about what Israel have done all you want. Everyone knows what they’ve done.

Whataboutery doesn’t legitimatise killing more innocents.

That flag apparently says Celtic Ultras in Arabic, it's not the Hamas Shahada flag from what I can tell on the conversation around it.

Given that can't see how it can be connected to anything unless the GB have instant access to a flag printing machine in the ground.

Good to see you are prepared to change your mind.

Personally I think the banners were too much and uncalled for given the situation but good chance there is misreporting around what that flag is.

Either way, the GB has given the world another opportunity to criticise the club, whether than be with false info or not. They could have easily clarified their message, but are instead intent in making it about the board.

It’s not a Hamas flag. It looks like one, but it says Ultras Celtic in Arabic.

Why that one was even necessary given the potential for it being misunderstood, as it clearly already has been, I don’t know. Another stupid decision.

I don't agree with the way the GB worded their banner, but the accusation that Celtic has an 'anti-semitism' problem is * insane. Would distrust any account making such accusations.

They’re not stupid, unfortunately, as at least that would be an excuse. They’re incredibly calculated, and thrive off of creating controversy.

The very fact that there’s pages of discussion about them will be giving them raging erections. They care much more about that than any resistance movement.

Aye, was just coming to say the same thing. Seen people trying to call it a Hamas flag so looked it up, and to be fair can see why some dafties would think it without actually checking.

As a side note, some of the rhetoric I’m seeing from Israeli politicians is akin to the stuff you see on the Russian propaganda channels. Disgusting and scary in equal measure, as the western world are actually backing these psychos.

I don’t really care about that in all honesty. The people criticising us are not our friends, and never will be regardless of what we do. The display has drawn people’s attention to the conflict, and as I’ve already said, if that makes more people look into the history of it instead of getting their information from the BBC and assuming this conflict started on Saturday, that can only be a good thing.

I see the flag issue seems to have been cleared up now. However, I think given that it’s the same flag with different wording as that of Hamas, flying it on Saturday was incredibly stupid. I would say that. The article is still misinformation though, so that deserves to be called out. The guy clearly has an agenda.
