He prefers to look the captain in the face when the team talk is happening.

Showed how good he can be, his control and reading of it is unreal. Pass him the ball and he creates space, takes players out the game with one wee turn.

Aye he had the full lot on show today..

    The swivels
    The nutmegs
    The dummies through his legs
    The running with the ball
    The range of passing
Quite a strong * as well in 50/50 shoulder challenges

Was unlucky that that move with Johnston never resulted in his second as well..

    What a player..

Was one pass out from the back, think it was Taylor, I was like oaft dodgy, as I saw it coming out but he just moved towards it, took the * out the game and opened up, played it out right. Did stuff like that throughout. Naturally * brilliant footballer.

Have to wonder what was up with him?

    Injury? Personal issues? Home sickness?

Strange that a player of his class loses it for a few weeks and then explodes back to form.

    Good to see him back.

He wanted his Brighton move to be with his bestie, and it didn't materialize. Spat the dummy.

It's obvious Rodgers has sat him down and said "we value you at A. We're not going to get that right now. Sign this new contract, get your head screwed, and when the offer of A comes in, we will accept it. You need to earn a move son."

Good to see him "back". But if he pulls the same * next window he should be benched. On fire or not.

Only last week * were wanting to get rid of him in January, unbelievable panty wetting. Like many of us said he goes through patches like that but always comes back into form. He’s our most creative player by far on his day.

About time he had a good game,is a player who needs to play every game tbh to get upto a good standard. Hopefully this is where he kicks off in the team and we pull further ahead.

Hardly a surprise that after recently returning from a lay off... he's now had a run of games and is looking better.

We seem all to happy to forget this a lot of the time with players. The expectation we have that a player must return immediately in great form.

Reo Hatate believes his Celtic best is still to come.

The Parkhead ace returned to his brilliant peak in the weekend win over Kilmarnock. Hatatebelieves his performance can be a personal turning point in the term after a tough start with injury and lack of form.

The 25-year-old was sensational for 18 months after signing for previous boss Ange Postecoglou and is now aiming high under gaffer Brendan Rodgers having penned a new long-term deal. Asked if there was even more to come from him following the Man of the Match show against Killie, Hatate said: “Yes. Next we have an international break, so we have to focus on the national team and playing for Japan. After that, we’ll have more league games. It’s like this. Going one by one. All of us just focus on improving the performance. That [against Kilmarnock] was better

Even though I had difficult times, this can be a turning point for me and, hopefully, I can perform very well.

Rodgers poured praise onto the Celtic star following the success over Killie and stated: “This was the first game that Reo has come alive for me. That’s the level. You can’t switch the engine on and off. At the highest level against the best players, you have to turn up every week.

"That’s the challenge for Reo. He’s not young, he’s 25. But at that level of intensity, everything else is then natural for him. It’s my job as a coach to help him stay there

What we’ve been saying all along, it’s time for him to add consistency of application to his game and he will be a superb player.

Glad Rodgers has said that and accepted that it’s his job now to add that to his game.

Genuinely have everything crossed that’s the case because we need the best version of Hatate for the remainder of the European campaign, his first 2 games were hoaching.

We sat down together and I cooked him a traditional Korean meal and I explained how I was the man who made Luis Suarez Luis Suarez and how I could do the same for him. Not necessarily make him Luis Suarez, per se, I guess Luis' mum and dad played a part in that; but Reo saw what I could do for him and we had a brief coaching session together and his performance today was my reward. As he came off, I heard him say to Daizen in Classical Chinese that I had changed his life. That's what makes it all worthwhile.
