The actual definition mate,it’s something along the lines of ‘the pursuit of violence to achieve political or religious gains’.I know it’s not popular on here either but just to be honest, the ra did kill innocent people, and sometimes intentionally.Just look at Kingsmill ffs.

You can agree with the aims and objectives of an organisation without necessarily agreeing with all of their methods is the point I’m trying to make.

I know well about kingsmill along with other similar incidents. I even know two people from my area where one killed an innocent protestant actually making him pray before he put a few in the back of his head and another threw a bomb into a pub. Both served time with my cousin in the H-blocks. War is * ugly and innocent people die.

As for the definition, I don't care what it says haha. You will never get me saying the IRA where terrorists! Calling them terrorists is dishonoring everyone who partook in the troubles.

Saw nothing wrong with the banner tbh.

After all we've been encouraged by Uefa to show support for the war in Ukraine - a country whose armed forces incorporate neo-* paramilitaries.

So I'm sure showing some solidarity with the resistance in Palestine is completely reasonable by comparison.

I support the Palestinian cause, but yesterday was not the time to fly their flag imo.

It could easily be mixed up with supporting Hamas on a day they killed innocent civilians.

Mate the Israeli army are literally killing civilians by the hundreds and have been for a long time, now more than ever is a time to support Palestine. Only seems to make the news when Israelis are killed.

Flying a Palestinian flag isn't support for terrorism. I'm sure comparisons have been made with the tricolour and the RA.

Probably not the thread for this anyway..

You got to be very careful here in who you think is the instigator in all this. While innocent lives are lost in wars is sad. Be careful where you point the blame!

What would you do if you lived in Palastine?

What the Green Brigade did was not the support of Free Palestine. The atttack yesterday is the work of an organisation who is oppressing the Palestinian people as much as the Israelis do! Hamas is a criminal organisation that tortures and murders Palestinian peopel, e. g. journalists who reveal how Hamas is stealing from the Palestinian and murdering their critics.

That's why I think the banner of the GB was wrong an that it didn't support the Palestinian people but a bunch of criminals who use the situation for their own personal gain. The GB are the useful idiots here because the showed support for an organisation that doesn't want a Free Palestine or would only use it to create a dictatorship to enrich themselves even more.

Hamas are no freedom fighters because they don't want a democracy for all the Palestinians to live freely.

I'm pretty sure James Connolly would not agree to the system of government that Hamas has established in Gaza.

I find it hilarious that she put @Celticfc I bet that put Lawwell Senior off his venison! I don't see anything wrong with the banner. As far as I can see, it expresses support for Palestinian liberation and the Palestinian people rather than Hamas.

Does it express support for Hamas? I can't see where it does that.
