Wow, mental how different some people see a game. Thought he was poor, defensively terrible, touch and passing terrible, sometimes just hoofing the ball out of play or back to their cbs, losing ball in posession etc. definitely need to upgrade the position if we are to improve in Europe that’s for sure. Thought scales helped cover him well in fairness

I was watching the game completely baffled how the club let us go past the transfer window without recruiting for a position we’ve clearly needed fixing since Tierney left. Like we as fans see it blatantly. Mental

On another night would have cost us.

Wasn't the worst I've seen him in Europe mind you.

Anderson was their outball all * night, Taylor is just too small and slow for this level. He’d be fine back up for domestic games but he is so far off Cl level it’s not funny.

He was exposed all night, caught out of position and too slow.

Ten out of ten for enthusiasm but the guy is not Celtic class, it is blatantly obvious that he is one of the weak links in the team and opponents highlight this weakness now. Please don’t offer him a new contract as we need a better player in this position.

We are not a good team, and he is at our level- which is the level of Scottish football. It's the CL and EL he's not good enough for.

I have to disagree, he is shown up in SPL games, Scottish teams know that if they have a go down our left side then will have chances. In Europe he is like being a man down.

I would not mind seeing Scales step in there for a few games to see how he does once we have our full backline back, fit and firing again.

This isn’t meant to bash Taylor but I do think a quick, attacking left full back who can do the basics of defending would seriously add to our team. If we had that I think we could have quite an effective player in Palma who can come inside and link up with Hatate and an overlapping full back.

The fact we don’t have a winger who wants to stay wide makes the fact Taylor always looks to come inside worse. Another thing is if Taylor comes inside to receive the ball he has to be willing to turn with it not take 3 touches and play it back. Don’t get me wrong McGregor and O’Riley were both guilty of that too last night but Taylor does it so often.

Our lack of a few players who can take a ball in and get on the half turn kills us at that level.

Our link up play for the first goal was superb, and it was good for the disallowed goal too minus Maeda touching the ball. But the switch of play to then getting back in at the back post was good football. Too often we got into good positions in and around the box and predominantly Yang or Hatate just gave the ball away with poor passing.

He got done with a ball in behind in the first minute. Played a few aimlessly over the top up the line to nobody and twice I remember him not being able to control the ball, got it caught in between his legs and it going out for a throw. He has been much better domestically the last few games, but we all knew we needed to improve on him in the summer as Europe we knew he would struggle. We chose not to however.

Yeah it’s been clear the past couple years that we’ve been needing an upgrade in that position. Have to be spending money on a quality left back now in January there’s literally no excuse

First half hour they were pinging that diagonal across to the left and catching him out every single time. Big Scales covered his * most of the game.

I like him but we need much, much better.

We're far too sympathetic as a football club. Happy to have him around as back-up, but the manager and the board need to stop pretending this guy is good enough for where we want to be as a club.

Needs to start playing the Ralston role at left-back and upgrade in January. We need to be a lot more ruthless with players like this than we have been.

Don't disagree with giving Scales a go, still think he was one of our better players, lol.
