And CCV hasn't played in months. * hour from our manager.

 

CCV looks solid in Scotland but he's been passed around and around many teams. Cracked under pressure and made a blunder. Europe shows the quality of our players and I'm sorry but mistakes like that are why he struggled to get into spurs reserves & dropped from the USA.

 

He was excellent when on until that mistake at the end..

My point is you don't put on someone who wasn't due back for 3-4 weeks, two weeks ago into a CL game for their first game. Puts the player under pressure and at risk. Stupid and arrogant decision regardless of the circumstances.

Any advice given goes via the manager, where did you get the information on the medical advice given? Did Rodgers say that in the press briefing?

 

Tbf he was having a stormer I thought then just a stupid stupid mistake, he done the hard in shielding the ball then just needs to pass not wrestle with them for another 5 seconds until he gets dispossessed. Stupid stupid mistake from the big man

 

It's pretty common knowledge. Why do clubs employ medical experts, sports injury specialists, sports scientists. Just for a laugh? Just to sit about doing * all all day?..... It's their * job!!!

He was 3 or 4 weeks away and he recovered faster, it happens he wasn't rushed back on 1 leg, he's been back training for weeks. There actually a post on here from a guy who met him and Ccv said a month ago he'd be back for end of September so he's actually late back going off his time scale. Do you think maybe the manager said 3 or 4 weeks to take pressure off him or perhaps knowing full well he'd be back tonight and would give the fans and players a lift?

Phillips was never gonna play 90 mins so who in ur infinite * wisdom would you have brought on to play the last half an hour?

 

He cost us a goal against Ross county at home and Aberdeen away when under pressure.

He's prone to more mistakes than people realise.

 

One of the few players we have where I think: "He's CL quality. We're fine there." Criticising him for a mistake when your first game back after a lengthy injury is to be thrown on in a CL match is mental.

We just notice it more from a cb especially when it leads to a goal. Hasn’t played in a while so don’t think I’ll be too harsh on him but he needs to be better there and all round the team has to be better, threw away 3 points there again today, lazio were there for the taking

 

Just came to say the exact same thing mate. He sat a bit deeper and defended well for the most part, sprayed a few nice passes about as well.

 

Are we saving that excuse for when the same happens against atletico? Or how about Lazio away?

Carter Vickers is no where near CL quality, he's started a fair number of absolute doings in the last few years, Leverkusen and Leipzig..etc. But he's good for us domestically but as I mentioned earlier cost us a few goals this season already.

 

So you don't know anything for a fact and it's all just your opinion based on your interpretation of the situation? That's fine but not a lot of it rings true for me, to the point where I don't think this is plain and simple Rodgers call.
