Look at the other angle, 45 degrees, this angle back to front always looks offside

Let’s be honest that’s karma for Rome a few years back.

We were the better team tonight and they were the better team in Rome a few years back

Only way I can really fathom this result tonight

    Scunnered with that..

One of the worst ways I've seen us lose for a good while..

Scoring and running round the room going daft to conceding some pishy, smash and grab goal at the death..

Ahhhhh just bollocks man. One day we'll get a fair and favourable ref. How they escaped with 11 is unbelievable with that blatant smash to the face..

Two very winnable games we've had and come away with nothing. Completely killed our chances..

They were there for the taking and for me, although we played quite well....we didn't have that attacking tempo for long enough and it would go a bit flat....side to side and back far too often. We just needed that bit more zip and it was ours..

We lack so much going forward. Progressed the ball really well tonight, press was good, just lacked a bit of quality time and time again. We need at least two new wingers, which unfortunately we won't get as we've signed Palma and Yang.

You can’t give away goals like we did tonight and expect to win.

Yes we need to be better going forward and create more, the Palma goal being ruled out was so close as at best it grazed Maeda’s shin. Johnston and Bernardo both need to do better when the ball is played/ broke to them in the box. You don’t get a lot of chances at this level you need to be clinical.

The thing that those on the park were capable
off but didn’t do is defend a set piece properly and not give the ball away needlessly outside our own box.

We have been handed a good draw this year and aren’t taking advantage of it. Feyenoord were dross in the first game and Lazio were tonight and we still have no points.

    OFFSIDE IS * AUTOMATED.

Ours was checked to see if Maeda touched it.

Stop going on about the possible offside as if that’s the problem. They should never be getting that chance.

Said it at the time, he was offside by very very slight margins. If that’s us it’s getting pulled back and checked every time.

    * that ref, hope he catches his wife gettin rattled when he gets back to Lithuania.

The stark reality is this teams just no got the quality at this level, that’s both games v shakhtar and tonight we’ve totally dominated and can’t win the game because we lack the quality to kill games and see them out

    The wings kill us.

Maeda is a workhorse but a rotten footballer at this level. Yang is miles off it and Palma looks painfully slow and unable to beat a man.

We were unlucky- that’s football - we were better side
If we play like that our luck will change especially with players coming back from injury ; now up to Rodgers to lift players for Athletico games - we need to have resilience we can’t fall apart now
The only thing I will say is it wise to bring players striaght into European games from injury - thats twice in a row we have been stung?!

Maeda should of been more intelligent, looked around and left the ball for Palma...football intelligence missing

Difficult to criticize the Bhoys tonight, though we held our own however Lazio were there for the taking and we failed to finish the job.

Success breeds Success and our lack of wins in Europe shows in games like that,we should have beaten them but we couldn't finish the job imo the lack of investment in quality players has also played a part in tonight's result but the board wont worry to much about that.

As for the remainder of the group i fear the same story in all our games(great effort but beaten again)i do hope im wrong but its becoming a common occurrence now and teams coming to parkhead have no fear of us.

    * scared to commit to an attack then trying cryuff turn with a cb 5 minutes in to injury time. Same old same old we need physicallity and to * wise up.

How many times will we be spanked then say they were there for the taking
