We were too naive throughout the game, but otherwise we played well.

We gave them a chance by not just getting it clear at the end and they took it. They had nothing else.

Thought we played well in fits and starts. Got the lead and generally competed throughout.

Didn't do anywhere near enough to force the issue going forward. Being brave on the ball at the edge of our penalty box isn't what I would call playing with intent. In fact it's pretty stupid at times (see the winning goal).

Thought for the most part we were very good tonight. Obviously disappointing that we still manage to completely * it up by the end, and right at the bitter end. With the way we played we deserved at least a point, but suppose you need to play smarter.

Said before I started I'd be very happy if we got a win in this campaign, and still think it will be a tough ask.

I would say one thing, the refereeing was absolutely diabolical, so many ridiculous decisions. The smash on Hatate, booking on Phillips, no high boot for ORiley, giving them the ball back after their player goes down from getting hit by the ball, and so on. So many * nonsense decisions and this * is refereeing in the biggest club tournament on the planet.

They need to be explaining these kinds of decisions, not just in our game obviously, they need to be accountable across the board; personally think after a performance like that you should be demoted. I mean the game is recorded so it's no like he can deny he was useless!

Good to have CCV getting minutes, thought there were some very good performances as well. Maeda and Scales were excellent, thought ORiley and Cal were good as well.
